This week on RSPCA ANIMAL RESCUE, a German Shepherd puppy has been in a hit by a car in Sydney.

Lying on the side of the road and unable to move, an older German Shepherd is guarding it. Inspector Matt French must restrain the bigger dog and rush the wounded puppy to the vet for urgent medical help. But he also needs to track down the owners.

Meanwhile, in Melbourne, Shetland pony Lucy is left barely able to walk after her owner failed to file her hooves for up to two years. In the vet clinic, an angle-grinder must be used to remove the excess hoofs and new special soft shoes allow her the freedom and comfort to move about in her new home.
And in Brisbane, Inspector Jed Goodfellow is called out to a home where a family suspect their pet cat Sabbath, missing for five days, is trapped in a besser brick wall. Meowing has been heard in one section and the only way through for Jed is with a pick axe. With the owners looking on, Jed must chip away at the wall till Sabbath can be located and reunited with his relieved family.

Narrated by ANTHONY FIELD, RSPCA Animal Rescue follows Inspectors and staff of the RSPCA as they rescue, protect and prevent cruelty to the animals of Australia.
