In tonight’s episode, Sydney RSPCA inspectors Donna Stockton and Matt French respond to a call about a cattle dog that has been roaming parklands for quite some time.

The dog is difficult to catch so the RSPCA call on a local resident who’s befriended the dog to help capture it. With no owner and no microchip, the RSPCA attempt to rehome the dog.

Meanwhile, in Brisbane, Inspector Laurie Stageman receives a complaint about a dog that is extremely thin and suffering major hair loss. On arrival at the property he finds two dogs, one which is extremely emaciated that he seizes immediately.

Through a series of vet checks and talking with the owner, Laurie discovers what looked to be a case of neglect was anything but.

Also in Brisbane, ambulance officer Katrina Farmer is called to a Brisbane suburb where a home owner has spotted a possum stuck down an outdoor drain. Katrina tries every trick in the book to help this little possum out, with no luck.

When the possum unexpectedly backs away from the lip of the drain and out of sight, Katrina must go in blind and try and pull him out, whether he likes it or not.

Narrated by ANTHONY FIELD, RSPCA ANIMAL RESCUE follows Australia’s RSPCA inspectors as they rescue, protect and prevent cruelty to the animals of Australia.
