In this week’s episode of RSPCA ANIMAL RESCUE, officers are called in to rescue a lost koala found wandering on the road.

Just outside of Brisbane, ambulance officer Amanda Yates attends the call about the koala but after locating the animal she struggles to catch it and transport it to the shelter for a closer inspection. It seems the koala is almost totally blind and has a host of other medical problems. It is transferred to the Australian Wildlife Hospital at Australia Zoo.

Following up on a report, Queensland inspector Sommer Heath attends a home where an owner is keeping her 12 Chihuahuas in small cages. The owner explains the dogs are very old so the RSPCA improves their living conditions so they have a better environment.

In Sydney, a stray cat has given birth to a litter of kittens in the roof of a family home and one has fallen down the wall and can be heard meowing in the laundry. Inspector Matt French is called in and it seems the only way to get the kitten out is to go straight through the wall.

Narrated by ANTHONY FIELD, RSPCA ANIMAL RESCUE follows Australia’s RSPCA inspectors as they rescue, protect and prevent cruelty to the animals of Australia.
