Seven Melbourne won week 22 with a 27.8 per cent share and Melbourne’s top three shows - SEVEN’S AFL: RND 17: HAWTHORN VS GEELONG, CITY HOMICIDE and BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS
SEVEN’S AFL: RND 17: HAWTHORN VS GEELONG drew a whopping 646,108 viewers in Melbourne alone to take the record as Melbourne’s biggest 'Home & Away' Friday night telecast since the beginning of 2001. The game peaked with 846,000 viewers.
CITY HOMICIDE (477,384) was Melbourne’s second most watched show overall. It kicked off Monday night at number one and maintained its dominance to take out one of the week’s most vied for spots. Nine’s The Farmer Wants a Wife (338,763) plummeted at 44th position.
BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS (469,082) defeated all competition to claim the week’s third largest audience. Nationally, the DIY show drew 1.53 million to top Friday night.
ALL SAINTS (425,867) was Tuesday’s Number One show.

Channel Seven had a winning Wednesday with six shows in the Top Ten and a 6.4 point lead over Channel Nine. Seven’s audience share was 28.2 per cent to Nine’s 21.8 per cent.
Seven’s factual series RSPCA ANIMAL RESCUE and MEDICAL EMERGENCY combined forces between 7.30pm and 8.30pm to trump Nine’s This is Your Life: Bert’s 70th Birthday and Ten’s So You Think You Can Dance.
At 7.30pm, RSPCA ANIMAL RESCUE (418,000) was among the Top Five shows in Melbourne and was second nationally with an impressive 1.510 million viewers. This is Your Life: Bert’s 70th Birthday (385,000) was sixth. While Ten’s So You Think You Can Dance (247,000) and ABC’s 7.30 Report (243,000) were well behind in 18th and 19th position respectively.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY (434,000) increased the pace at 8.00pm and was the second most-watched show in Melbourne. It beat This is Your Life: Bert’s 70th Birthday by 49,000 viewers.

Seven Melbourne claimed another Monday night victory with six of the Top Ten shows and a 5.5 point share lead. CITY HOMICIDE was again Melbourne’s most watched show.
CITY HOMICIDE was Number One, with 477,000 Melburnians switched on. It defeated Ten’s final Big Brother – Winner Announced (424,000) and Nine’s The Farmer Wants A Wife (339,000) which ranked thirteen spots behind. Nationally, CITY HOMICIDE drew a huge 1.51 million viewers.
CRIMINAL MINDS topped its timeslot with 419,000 viewers. Nine’s The F Word (236,000) and the series return of Ten’s Burn Notice (227,000) bombed out.
SEVEN NEWS (408,000) and TODAY TONIGHT (399,000) were Melbourne’s first choice for news and public affairs. Both won their timeslots – ahead of Nine’s News (404,000) and A Current Affair (371,000).

Melbourne-made CITY HOMICIDE (518,000) was the number one drama in Melbourne, nationally (1.583 million), and was the second most-watched show for the week. CITY HOMICIDE easily won the 8.30pm timeslot on Monday night, locking up Nine’s The Farmer Wants A Wife (395,000) and Ten’s Good News Week (283,000).

Channel Seven secured three places in the Top Ten on Sunday night with strong audience figures between 6.30pm and 8.30pm for the final showdown of GLADIATORS and the harmonious tones of BATTLE OF THE CHOIRS.
Channel Seven’s season finale of GLADIATORS (430,000) which awarded victory to two Victorians, Natasha Haines and Paul Baird, obliterated the housemates on Ten’s Big Brother (224,000) and The Einstein Factor on the ABC (292,000).

Channel Seven Melbourne had a convincing win in week 12 (May 11 to May 17) with an All People share of 27.3 per cent.
Seven's highest-rating program SEVEN'S AFL: ROUND 8: ST KILDA VS COLLINGWOOD (457,000) sent the competition to the bench on Friday night. Nine's Maid in Manhattan (184,000) and I'm A Celebrity…Get Me out of Here! (119,000) on Ten were short on survival skills.
On Monday night, Seven's powerhouse BORDER SECURITY – AUSTRALIA'S FRONT LINE (456,000) and SURF PATROL (422,000) dominated the 7.30pm to 8.30pm timeslot. Ten's How To Look Good Naked (394,000) was forced to look at itself while Nine's David Attenborough's - Life in Cold Blood (365,000) only managed to scurry into 33rd place.

Seven Melbourne finished week nine of official ratings with a 28.8 per cent All People share and eight shows in the Top 20 – more than any other station.
Viewers turned to Seven for all their news coverage. SEVEN NEWS – SUNDAY was last week’s most-watched bulletin with 550,000 viewers, pummelling National Nine News Sunday (390,000) and ABC News Sunday (287,000), and was the third most watched program of the week.
SEVEN NEWS (Monday to Friday) saw 406,000 viewers make the switch, beating National Nine News (367,000) and ABC News (319,000), while SEVEN NEWS SATURDAY (372,000) also led the charge with a firm lead over National Nine News Saturday (370,000) and ABC (304,000).
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (497,000) sent the opposition flying as a tornado hit Wisteria Lane. Nine’s Sea Patrol II (422,000) and Good News Week (278,000) on Ten were forced to seek refuge.

Seven Melbourne dominated Wednesday night with a winning All People share of 27.2 per and more shows in the Top Ten than any other station – including the two most watched shows of the night.
RSCPA ANIMAL RESCUE was the most watched program on Wednesday night both in Melbourne (436,000) and nationally (1,672,000) with a convincing win over Ten's Rules of Engagement (258,000) while the gloss continued to wear off Nine's new reality showbiz series My Kid's A Star (255,000 in Melbourne) and only managing 780,000 nationally.
THE REAL SEACHANGE enticed 354,000 viewers with a lifestyle change and scored a strong lead over Ten's Back To You (306,000) and My Kid's A Star on Nine.
Seven dominated news and public affairs last night. SEVEN NEWS (430,000) was the leading news service while ABC News (344,000), National Nine News (337,000) and Ten News (220,000) missed the scoop. TODAY TONIGHT (385,000) muscled A Current Affair (351,000) out of the timeslot.

Seven Melbourne won Tuesday night with a 29.5 per cent share and the number one news and public affairs programs.
SEVEN NEWS and TODAY TONIGHT led the win with 408,000 and 434,000 viewers respectively – well ahead of Nine's news (382,000) and A Current Affair (387,000).
IT TAKES TWO drew 400,000 viewers for its penultimate episode which saw Actress, Virgina Gay and professional singer, Ian Moss, eliminated. Nationally, 1.4 million people watched the celebrity singing competition.
ALL SAINTS dominated the 9.30pm timeslot, defeating Nine's Ladette to Lady (309,000) and Ten's Women's Murder Club (289,000)
Seven won Tuesday with a share of 29.5 per cent, defeating Nine's 27.4 per cent, Ten's 25.6 per cent, ABC's 13.1 per cent and SBS with 4.4 per cent.

Channel 7 looked to be doing well with both Grey's Anatomy and Ugly Betty on Sunday nights attracting large audiences. However since Easter the ratings for both programmes have dropped and Channel Nine's CSI and 60 Minutes are becoming more and more popular.
