American Idol

Charlotte, North Carolina is the destination for the next round of fueding between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, I mean, American Idol Auditions.

Feedback from last weeks debut was pretty unanimous. You hated the Mariah vs Nicki stuff.  And the ratings seemed to reflect it as well.

The new year is barely upon us yet we are being bombarded by countless sneak peeks and promos for new shows “coming soon” in 2013 – which will only ramp up as the year gets under way.

Believe me, the networks generally know when they plan to air most shows but constantly hit us with those vague words “coming soon” or “new in 2013″ as actual air dates are closely guarded secrets until within a few weeks prior to the scheduled date. Continue reading »

American Idol will now screen on Fridays at 7.30pm (not the scheduled 8.30pm) and will then be followed by The Living Room Summer Series

It’s the dawn of a whole new season of American Idol. It’s new. It’s fresh and it has new judges. Welcome to Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey who will sit alongside Randy Jackson for the 12th season of American Idol.

The auditions kick off this year in New York and it’s the same script so far with the judges arriving and the hopefuls looking smitten by the stars.

The Lincoln Centre is full of pumped up contestants but right out of the gate, the drama that we’ve been hearing about between Minaj and Carey beings to unfold. Continue reading »

After rumours yesterday, after Steven Tyler quit “American Idol” Jennifer Lopez has confirmed she is out too.

“I honestly feel like the time has come… to get back to doing the other things that I do, that I put on hold,” Lopez said Friday on “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.
