This comes after Channel Seven won a court battle stopping Mel B defecting from them to Channel Nine. Geri was, like Mel B, apart of the infamous Spice Girls and the first to leave the band. Apparently Mel B and Geri have a very fiery relationship – wonder how this went down with “Scary”? Continue reading »

Seven are now ramping up their coming soon and sneak peek ads for their new renovation show – House Rules. House Rules is Seven’s version of Nine’s The Block where complete strangers renovate poeple’s houses room by room over 6 weeks. Seven have now also thrown in “state vs state” into the advertising.
Sound familiar? It is – Nine’s first promos for 2013′s regular season of The Block – The Block Skyhigh – promoted the show as “state vs state” as well. In Skyhigh, there will be 5 couples competing instead of the usual four. Continue reading »
Melanie B is not allowed to be a judge on the panel of Nine network’s Australia’s Got Talent this year. Justice David Hammerschlag, a NSW Supreme Court judge has ruled that Channel Seven had an exclusive agreement with the star, preventing her from appearing on any other Australian TV network until January 31, 2014.

Australia’s Got Talent
Kyle Sandilands, Timomatic, Dawn French and Mel B are the supposed judges. Yet it was just announced that Channel 7 has a court injunction against Mel B leaving Seven’s X Factor for it’s rival Channel Nine (is there any other rival?) But during The Block they not only advertised her, but sent media a press release, confirming her signing. I love Dawn French – from the 70′s and 80′s and people who watch this show were not usually born then though! Timomatic – whatever, Mel B I would love to see clash with Kyle, but this side show alley concept with an abnormal judge line, just leaves me cold. Continue reading »

Still smarting after being side-swiped by the defection to Nine’s reboot of Australia’s Got Talent, Seven took the celebrity judge to the NSW Supreme Court, crying foul over the pop star’s poaching by Nine just weeks after she gave her notice.
In Seven’s successful claim today, it was alleged Scary Spice, aka Melanie Brown, was under a conditional contract preventing her from signing with any person or company other than Seven until January 31, 2014. Continue reading »
