Press Release. Seven have unveiled its programming plans for 2013, driving and delivering a primetime schedule that builds on its leadership. The Network is now in its sixth consecutive year of leadership in primetime and its seventh consecutive year of leadership across the 6am-midnight broadcast day.

Australia’s Got Talent Grand Finale is now being blogged live (even though I am sure everyone will be watching and reading MasterChef)
With a great intro featuring Genesis the show has begun with ex-contestants back for an extravagant opening gala! George and Noriko along with the yodeling drag queen are there along with Timomatic!
We have the great Tina turner impersonator come down on a giant disco ball and now for DYLAN! This opening sequence is being done brilliantly. The lighting and sound mixing is spectacular. Continue reading »
The practice of shows starting later than the time advertised on Seven, Nine and Ten is seriously getting out of hand now. A show advertised for 9.30 sometimes will not start until as late as 9.53pm, an 8pm start could mean anything up to 8.20, while an 8.30pm start these days really means 8.45 or even later.
While most of us can handle a few minutes of variance in start times, passing off a show that ends up starting at say 8.45 as being advertised for an 8.30pm start is misleading to viewers and unfair to those trying to plan their nights’ TV viewing.
But the greater consequence now of the practice of late starts is how it is affecting overnight ratings results. Continue reading »

Over the next two weeks, Australia’s Got Talent concludes with Grand Final this Wednesday July 18 and Winner Announced July 25. Grey’s Anatomy moves to a later timeslot, while new Criminal Minds returns on Thursday nights. Meanwhile, season two of Downton Abbey concludes next Sunday (July 22) with a double episode and Revenge on Monday July 23. UPDATED July 17.

The semi-finals have been amazing and there is no doubt Australia has talent and tonight is the last semi-final. Who from last week though has made it through?
The top three from last week are Flowers for Midnight, Johnny Taylor and Dylan the stripper – Go Dylan! The highest votes went to Flowers for Midnight. Now to see who the judges will vote for, both deserve it Kyle says but he votes for DYLAN! C’mon Dannii vote for Dylan, do it for the girls. She says it’s all about entertainment so after last week’s performances it goes to … Dylan is through. Brian said he would have voted for Dylan as well as it was pure entertainment.
