Big Brother

Former Big Brother contestant David Graham has been seriously injured in a parachuting accident in Queensland.

The farmer, who came out as being gay on the show in 2006, has undergone surgery after snapping ligaments in his ankle, breaking his leg and crushing his hand during the jump as part of training ofr the First 24 Hour Foundation.

Graham had been lining up a career as a crisis rescue paramedic, but will have to reassess his options following a lengthy rehab process ahead.

“I’m one of those people who believes in getting back on the horse, but after the surgery I’m going to spend some time thinking about whether I want to jump out of a plane again,” Graham told Confidential.

“I just keep flashing back to those seconds before I hit the ground and then when I did.

“I don’t know what happens next – I had so much going on and so much to do, and I’m only just getting my head around what has happened.”

Graham recently featured on an episode of Australian Story about dog whispering.
