At The Naked Man Festival.

The Living Room. This Friday. On TEN.

Next time you travel abroad, try to give the usual sightseeing a miss and you just might stumble across a once in a lifetime experience.

Our intrepid The Living Room traveller Chris Brown did just that when he headed for Japan to take part in 500-year-old Hadaka Matsuri, aka the Naked Man Festival. Continue reading »

dr chris smallThe Logies Red Carpet was an amazing experience. I interviewed many favourites but here is my best of the night! More will follow – but Dr Chris is the best! Especially in a Tux!

I have always admired the brilliant vet , Dr Chris Brown from Bondi Vet. His compassion, kindness and his sincerity is to be admired. The highlight of my night was meeting him. When I first introduced myself as “Alicia from Throng”, he replied with “I know Throng! I follow you on twitter” WOW! Not only looks and brains but great taste in blogs, he was the nicest guy of the night. Continue reading »

Yesterday I headed off to Pyrmont to see the 2013 program presentation and was excited by what I saw. Here is what to expect from a rejuvenated Channel Ten in the new year. MORE DETAIL than what you might of read elsewhere!

Ten programming for the week May 20-26 sees more weird and wonderful weekday start times, thanks to Masterchef running overtime – ok – well at least they tell us in advance, but honestly, it really messes up subsequent programming, as well as the return of House to…

8.00pm Tuesday May 8 on Ten

In the middle of the night, Chris is called out to a women’s prison to help a mother in trouble. Golden retriever Brielle is giving birth to a huge litter of puppies that are earmarked to become assistance dogs. Assistance Dogs Australia runs several prison programs where inmates raise and train their puppies, but this is the first time inmates have been involved with a birth behind bars. It’s going to be a long night and it looks like hard labour for Brielle!

Then it’s yet another snake causing problems for Chris, with another night call out. A snake has been found in a suburban street with serious injuries and it appears the diamond python has been the victim of a hit run. Watch for Chris’ clever use of sugar to save the day.

Over at SASH a tiny kitten has fallen from the top of a scratching post at home and the kitten’s distraught young owners are in shock. Lisa has to tell them Ariel is so small and vulnerable that she may not have the strength to recover from the freak accident.

8.30pm Tuesday May 1 on Ten

The NCIS investigate the murder of Leland Wiley, a naval o cer who meant to disclose classi? ed information about an arms dealer in exchange for a plea bargain. While they track down the man who killed Wiley, the team also keeps surveillance on the arms dealer, Agah Bayar, who visits Washington with an alluring model, Ava Baransky. After learning that Wiley stole stealth technology schematics and meant to sell them to Bayar, Gibbs sends a nervous Dorneget on his ? rst ? eld assignment to detain Baransky for questioning about Bayar. However, Gibbs runs up against the DIA, which tries to close down NCIS’s operation without disclosing why.

8.00pm Tuesday April 24 on Ten

West Highland terrier, Chester lives in Bondi but has a fanatical hatred of skateboarders. It’s a dangerous combination and one that is making life hell for his owners Mark and Jess. They’re worried Chester could bite someone and end up in serious trouble. What can Dr Chris come up with to tame the savage terrier? As we have seen over the years, Dr Chris has a definite love hate relationship with Australian Reptile Park manager Tim Faulkner. Today it’s being tested again as Tim asks the Bondi vet to take bacteria swabs from some of the park’s most terrifying residents. Eyeballing a huge alligator and a 100 kilogram python… it’s going to be one of those days for the doc. Then at SASH, the terribly overweight Titch is rushed into Sash suffering from an extreme case of heatstroke. The corgi cross is just hanging on and her owners are devastated. If Titch does pull through then she’s going to have to go on a strict diet- the porky pooch’s life depends on it.
