After 10 years as Sunrise’s resident rover, weatherman Grant Denyer has resigned.
Denyer, who has held the position on and off for the past 10 years, said he was leaving to spend more time with wife Cheryl and young daughter Sailor.
“It’s the greatest job in the world, but … now that Sailor is nearly two she probably needs to find out who her dad is,” he said. Continue reading »
Seven has appointed former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett as National Political Commentator ahead of the 2013 federal election.
A forthright voice on the state of modern politics, Mr Kennett served 23 years in the Victorian parliament, including 16 years as leader of the Liberal Party.
As Premier from 1992-1999, he was regarded as a decisive and at times controversial political figure – cutting the public sector, ramping up capital works and kick-starting the economy.In his new role, Mr Kennett will provide political commentary and analysis for Seven News and Sunrise as well as joining Seven’s expert panel on the election night broadcast.
