Take a look at all these promos for all the new shows coming to Foxtel.

Which ones are on your must watch list?

The Kennedys, ABC1 8.30pm

This 4 part mini-series, which was controversially dumped by The History Channel in the USA, apparently after some strong persuasion by the living Kennedy family members, airs tonight. As you will see in this adaptation, the Kennedy’s believe they can do anything at all. From the affairs, mob connections and political crises, we get an in depth look at what was happening at Camelot during Kennedy’s reign as the American’s most loved President. Greg Kinnear plays Jack with Katie Holmes as the glamorous Jacqueline Bouvier-Kennedy. In this first instalment, there are a series of flashbacks from the overpowering matriarch Joe Snr’s hold on his boys, to JFK’s active war duty, marriage to Jackie and his run for Presidency. If it’s not factual, at least it will be entertaining.

Cloudstreet, showcase 8.30pm

Set in and around Perth during the 1940s and 1950s, Cloudstreet tells the story of two rural families who suffer separate catastrophes and flee to the city to pick up the pieces of their lives and start again. Brought together in the same house at No.1 Cloud Street, the Lambs and the Pickles’ share numerous tragedies and triumphs that draw them closer together, until the roof over their heads becomes a home for their hearts.
In part one and set in southern Western Australia in 1943, the Lamb family rescues their son, Fish, from nearly drowning, but their faith in God’s ability to grant them a miracle is destroyed when they realise Fish has been left brain damaged – albeit with a perpetual desire to be reunited with the water he has been dragged from. Showcase is known for its great home-made shows (Tangled, Satisfaction) and this adaptation of Tim Winton’s novel, should be just as good if not grander.

The Savoy, 7TWO 7.45pm

The Savoy is known as one of the most luxurious premier hotels in London. This is a documentary series which sees the cameras charting the inner workings of the hotel’s renovation. General Manager Kiaran MacDonald is in charge of the operation but things but things are not going to plan with the original budget already exceeded and the scheduled completion date missed. The cameras also follow life in the hotel following the completion of the renovation.

Scarface, 7mate 9.40pm

In the spring of 1980 the port at Mariel Harbour was opened, and thousands set sail for the United States. They came in search of the American Dream. One of them found it on the sun washed avenues of Miami… wealth, power and passion beyond his wildest dreams. He was Tony Montana but the world will remember him by another name… Scarface.
This movie is a cult phenomenon and is considered one of the best movies ever made, in the genre. See a young Pacino in one of his best performances and a very young Michelle Pfeiffer; be directed by the amazing Brian De Palma (Carlito’s Way and The Untouchables).

Ice Castles, 7TWO 1am

Alexis is a young girl who dreams of becoming a champion figure skater. One night, while practicing, Alexis suffers a terrible accident that takes her sight and threatens to destroy her dreams. In the midst of feeling sorry for herself she falls in love with a handsome young man named Nick who helps her to realize that she can still fulfil her dreams. A classic family movie, even if it’s from 1978, that will have more than a few grabbing a tissue or two.
