Channel Nine will fast-track new episodes of Two and Half Men and The Mentalist before screening brand new episodes of CSI Miami from Monday, October 25, at 7.30pm.

In the eighth season premiere of Two and a Half Men, Jake (Angus T. Jones) finds out that his father Alan (Jon Cryer) has been dating Eldridge’s mum (recurring guest star Courtney Thorne-Smith), so he packs up and heads to Judith (Marin Hinkle) and Herb’s place (Ryan Stiles). Meanwhile, Charlie decides it’s time to cut back on boozing.

Following Two and a Half Men at 8.30pm, Emmy nominee Simon Baker returns as Patrick Jane in Nine’s top-rated drama, The Mentalist. Joining Baker is the highly talented cast including Robin Tunney, Tim Kang, Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti.

In the third season premiere of The Mentalist, Jane remains uncertain about his future with the unit after his face-to-face encounter with his nemesis, the serial killer Red John, last season.

Then at 9.30pm comes all-new CSI Miami. In the first episode a seemingly perfect jewellery heist ends in murder and when crime scene evidence is stolen from the lab, Delko returns to find the culprit. David Caruso, Emily Procter, Adam Rodriguez, Eddie Cibrian, Jonathan Togo, Rex Linn, Eva La Rue and Omar Miller star.
