In February, 2006, 27 year-old American Eric Volz was convicted of raping and murdering his ex-girlfriend in Nicaragua. There was no evidence linking him to the crime. But, Eric Volz was found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in a Nicaraguan prison– a young man caught in the wrong country at the wrong time.
