7:30pm – Saturday, September 22 on ABC1

The Doctor gets a Stetson (and a gun!), and finds himself as the reluctant Sheriff of a Western town which is under siege from a relentless cyborg (who goes by the name of Gunslinger). But who is Gunslinger and what does he want.

The answer seems to lie with the mysterious, Kahler-Jex, an alien doctor (yes another one!) whose initial appearance is hiding a dark secret.

The Doctor Who monsters have invaded the Melbourne Cricket Ground ahead of this Saturday’s Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular.

Inspired by the BBC Doctor Who Proms at Royal Albert Hall in London, the Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular will see the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ben Foster, premiere Murray Gold’s thrilling music from the two most recent television series.

The first – and only- Australian performances of the show will be this Saturday 4th February at 2pm and 7pm at the Plenary Hall, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Both shows are now sold out.

Host Mark Sheppard, Sheppard, who appears as ex-FBI agent Canton Everett Delaware III in the two-part opener of season 6 of Doctor Who, will join the MSO on stage along with a host of live monsters such as Daleks, Cybermen, Judoon, Clockwork Robots, and the Doctor’s latest monstrous opponents, the Silence.

The performance will be accompanied by a big screen presentation of key moments from the recent series and specially edited sequences showcasing Matt Smith’s performance as the Eleventh Doctor.

This is the first live Doctor Who event outside the UK.
