Sorry to say, but for those who do not have Pay TV, and would LOVE to see the Emmy’s on September 19, Ten are NOT airing the ceremony this year. Perhaps Foxtel have it exclusively or Ten simply chose not to air it.
Honestly, I can’t see why they can’t air it late night on Ten, or even on ELEVEN that night – I think the Emmys would do well on a free to air digital channel.
Not even FOX8 – who will be airing the Emmys live from 10am AEST on Monday September 19, will be playing a prime time repeat. That night, Rove: LA premieres at 8.30pm (which will be worth giving a go!)
Perhaps the decision not to air a prime time repeat is because the die hard fans will already know all the results, thanks to social media.
Shame really, as, with Glee’s Jane Lynch hosting, and soooo many nominationed shows and personalities airing on Ten, it would fit right in for the network to air it.
Emmy’s are on FOX8 from 10.00am AEST, Monday September 19 – live from the US. E! has red carpet coverage from 8.00am, with replays from 10am on.

YOUR SHOUT: THE HISTORY OF AUSTRALIAN BEER - Two-part Special
LOCAL PRODUCTION
Wednesday September 21 and 28 at 7.30pm
Australian Exclusive Premiere
Is there anything closer to the heart of Australians than beer? In the past 200 years the ritual of men sharing a beer has defined the Australian character more than any other. It’s brought men together in pubs and sporting grounds, lubricating our friendships, quenching our thirst and rewarding our labours at day’s end.
Beer has played a central role in our history as far back as Captain James Cook’s first charting of the East Coast of Australia in 1770, where Cook brewed beer to sterilize the ship’s fetid drinking water.
Today Australian beer is loved and enjoyed around the world, and two great corporations dominate local industry with sales of $8 billion a year.
Your Shout is the definitive history of beer in Australia, an untold story that both delights and surprises. It traces the
development of the most familiar brands including Fosters, XXXX, Coopers, VB, West End and Swan and examines
how regional variations in beer developed around the nation. Your Shout is the history documentary all Australia has
been waiting to see.

Mildred Pierce, the TV mini-series that is leading the Emmy’s race with 21 nominations, is to show in August on showtime, in time for the awards ceremony.
Set in Glendale, California circa 1931, Mildred Pierce, a young mother with a talent for baking, is left a “grass widow” after throwing her husband, Bert, out of the house. Forced to hunt for work to support herself and her two young daughters, 11-year-old Veda and seven-year-old Ray, Mildred visits an employment agency, only to encounter job opportunities she feels are beneath her. Amidst her job search, she receives dating advice from her friend and neighbor, Lucy Gessler, and begins an unexpected affair with an ex-business partner of her husbands, Wally Burgan.
When Mildred receives a call from the agency regarding an opening as a housekeeper to a wealthy socialite, she reluctantly agrees to meet with her. After cutting the acerbic interview short, Mildred seeks refuge at a local diner, where fate, and a waitress named Ida, will play a role in shaping her future
Starring Kate Winslet as Mildred, for which she is sure to pick up the Emmy, gives a stunning performance of a woman struggling to salvage her life. Aussie star, Guy Pearce also stars as Mildreds lover Monty and is also up for an Emmy nod.
This powerful and provocative 5 part series starts on August the 3rd and Wednesdays following.
