As always, a huge week of Premier League action kicks off the New Year with seven LIVE and EXCLUSIVE matches on the opening day of 2012.  Then on January 4 two of the League’s big guns clash when ladder leaders Man City host Liverpool at Etihad Stadium.  The following day reigning champions Man U will travel to Sports Direct Arena to take on Newcastle as they push to reclaim top spot.

Chelsea has signalled their title challenge handing Man City their first loss of the season and will headline a huge morning of five LIVE matches when they take on Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.  The previous day Liverpool will be hoping to keep their championship prospects alive when they take on Newcastle at Anfield.

The Hyundai A-League breaks new ground in January with an Australian-first ‘Football Bonanza’ to kick off the New Year. FOX SPORTS will feature five LIVE and EXCLUSIVE back-to-back matches over 11 consecutive hours on January 4.  It all begins when Wellington Phoenix host Brett Emerton’s Sydney FC before Harry Kewell’s Melbourne Victory visit last year’s Grand Finalists Central Coast Mariners among the blockbuster day of A-League action.

A-League action signs off for 2011 with the top tier teams featuring in a massive Matchday Saturday.  Harry Kewell’s Melbourne Victory will be looking for a big-name scalp to welcome in the New Year when they take on league leaders Brisbane on December 31.

Sydney FC will be looking to build on their stunning 2-0 victory over Brisbane, which ended the Roar’s 36-game record unbeaten run, when they host Adelaide on December 22.   The following day fans will be treated to a huge double-header with the Melbourne derby between the Victory and Heart kicking off at 8pm before A-League action turns to the west where Perth clash with Central Coast at nib Stadium

Mon 19 Dec, 3.10am AEDT, LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on FOX SPORTS 1HD and FOX SPORTS 1

It will be a blockbuster morning of EPL action when two of the league’s most dominant forces clash at Etihad Stadium on December 19.  Roberto Mancini’s charges will  face one of their biggest challenges with the Gunners coming into form and eyeing off a top four spot.  Fans can tune in from 1am to see Aston Villa take on The Reds at Villa Park while over on FOX SPORTS 2HD and FOX SPORTS 2 Tottenham will be in action against Sunderland.

Football fans will be in for a triple-treat on December 17 with three back-to-back A-League matches featuring on a huge Matchday Saturday.   A rematch of last year’s dramatic grand final between the unstoppable Brisbane Roar and the Central Coast Mariners will headline the action with LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage from Suncorp Stadium commencing at 7.45pm.

With Chelsea starting to hit form and with a top four spot in sight the stage is set for an exciting showdown when The Blues take on competition frontrunners Man City at Stamford Bridge on December 12.

It will be a huge morning of Premier League action with FOX SPORTS broadcasting six LIVE games at 1.50am through Viewer’s Choice.  Headlining the collection will be Liverpool up against QPR at Anfield while over on FOX SPORTS 3 Tim Cahill’s Everton take on Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

After extending their undefeated run on Saturday with a 2-1 win over the Jets, competition frontrunners, Brisbane, will be back in action when they clash with Melbourne Heart on December 9 at Suncorp Stadium.  

The following day FOX SPORTS will deliver a huge triple-header of A-League action starting at 3pm and finishing with Melbourne Victory facing off against Adelaide at Etihad Stadium.
