Sunday March 11 at 8.30pm on FOX8
Matt Groening’s, Futurama Season 7 returns, as the hilarious animated series about a pizza delivery man named Fry who is accidentally cryogenically frozen in 1999 and wakes up 1000 years later to a brave new world – that in some ways hasn’t progressed much beyond the 20th century.
More last minute changes from the Ten network, this time affecting ELEVEN.
Next Monday, March 12, the double episode of Ringer that was to air from 8.30 is cancelled, replaced by the movie (500) Days of Summer – which aired on ELEVEN not that long ago. Seems movie repeat cycles are shrinking by the day at Ten.
Ringer fans – you will now have to wait until 10.30pm Monday to see the show, and it will only be the one episode.
Same deal for March 19, with the movie Team America: World Police to air at 8.30pm.
Also on March 19, Everybody Loves Raymond moves into 7.30pm, followed by the season two premiere of Raising Hope at 8pm. These two shows replace the Futurama double that has played on Monday nights on ELEVEN for ages.
And a reminder that Futurama now also airs on Saturday nights at 8.30, following The Simpsons from 7.30pm.
Correct as at March 9.
ELEVEN have made some significant changes to their nightly programming starting as early as this Saturday February 25 with The Simpsons and Futurama playing on Saturday nights instead of all those Everybody Loves Raymond and Frasier episodes, while on weeknights, Craig Ferguson moves back half an hour to an 11pm start instead of 10.30pm.
Here’s the summary:
Saturday Feb 25
7.30 The Simspons
8.00 The Simpsons
8.30 Futurama
9.00 Futurama
replaces Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond
Sunday Feb 26
7.30 The Simpsons instead of Futurama
8.00 Futurama remains
Monday Feb 27
10.30 Frasier which moves back
11.00 The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and bumps out Cheers from the schedule
Tuesday Feb 28
10.40 Frasier
11.10 The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
Wednesday Feb 29
9.30 Futurama instead of The Cleveland Show
10.00 The Cleveland Show – NEW
10.30 Frasier
11.00 The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
Thursday Mar 1
10.30 Frasier
11.00 The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
Friday Mar 2
8.30 Snog, Marry, Avoid instead of the third episode of The Simpsons
9.00 Snog, Marry, Avoid moving back Sex and The City
9.30 Sex and The City
10.05 Sex and The City – now only two episodes
10.40 Frasier
11.10 The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
Saturday Mar 3
Same as Saturday Feb 25.
The later start now for Craig Ferguson on ELEVEN now means his show overlaps with Letterman on Ten on many nights – may cause problems for some of the talk show junkies out there.
Snog, Marry, Avoid – what is this I hear you ask? W-ell: First ep goes like this: Join us as we ‘Make Under’ a fake-tan obsessed Levi from Kent and glamour model wannabe Tamsin. Will these girls return to their old ways? and the second: Tonight two girls and one boy band will experience the magic of a makeover. With corset lover Dominique, pink Barbie obsessed Jules and a boy band called “Girls That Scream”.
Information correct as at February 22, 2012.
A number of changes to the ELEVEN line up from next week.
On Sunday nights, as of August 7, Smallville has been dropped, in favour for repeats of Angel, which move forward from midnight to air around 11.00pm after the Sunday night movie. Rosanne and Sabrina The Teenage Witch follow. On Sunday August 14, Angel airs at 10.40, with Cheers at 11.40, then Rosanne after midnight.
To Saturday nights, and plans to show a massive four hours of The Biggest Loser (US) (honestly, too much for even the hard core fans) from Saturday August 13 have been scrapped. Buffy The Vampire Slayer now will air at 10.30pm, followed by Cheers at 11.30, Rosanne at 12 and Sabrina at 12.30.
As a result of the change to Saturday night, 90210 again disappears from the schedule, with only a handful of episodes to go in the first season. So far, it is still scheduled for this Saturday August 6.
Futurama – there will be a new episode on Tuesday August 9 at 8pm, with the Wednesday night episodes reverting to repeats. That is the last new episode to air in the foreseeable future.
Supernatural – the season 6 finale airs Monday August 15, at 8.30pm.
Teen Wolf
New US series, Teen Wolf, premieres on Seven, Monday July 4, 9.30pm. Click here to read our review.
Futurama
ELEVEN will play new episodes of Futurama on Wednesdays at 8pm, from June 29.
Can of Worms
Can of Worms premiere on Ten – We know when it will air, but we’re just not allowed to tell you until Sunday, thanks to Ten’s policy of prime time programming embargos. Stay tuned for the time and date on that one.
Being Human
It’s about three twenty somethings who happen to be a vampire, a wolf and a ghost – premieres on ELEVEN at 9.30pm, Monday July 4 – same time as Teen Wolf on Seven.
So You Think You Can Dance (US)
Season final airs on ELEVEN, at 7.30pm Saturday July 9.
Double Dipping on Dirty Dancing?
Is 80’s classic movie Dirty Dancing on GO! or GEM? Or both? An amendment from GEM yesterday schedules the movie for 9.30pm Wednesday June 29, while it still remains scheduled to air on GO! next Thursday June 30 at 9.30pm. Suggest you can most likely rule out the GO! airing. Stay tuned for an update.
BBC releases Doctor Who teaser
The BBC has released this very short teaser for the upcoming new season of Doctor Who. The season will kick off with the two-part episodes ‘The Impossible Astronaut’ and ‘Day of the Moon’.
Futurama renewed
Futurama has been renewed for a seventh season by Comedy Central with 13 episodes ordered for 2012.
Dushku joins comedy pilot
Eliza Dushku has joined a new comedy pilot that features Damon Wayans as a popular, quick-witted sports radio host. Dushku is expected to play Wayans’ on-air sidekick in the yet-to-be-named project.
Depp joins new Gervais sitcom

David Brent to apply for Michael Scott’s job?
Details of Ricky Gervais’ guest appearance on the season finale of The Office are said to have been released that suggest the actor’s character David Brent will be interviewing for Michael Scott’s (Steve Carell) job.
