Still shaken from witnessing a jewellery store robbery, Melinda’s life is threatened when a desperate spirit leads her to a dangerous criminal.

When a jewellery store is robbed, Melinda and Delia are among the victims. Soon after the incident, Melinda is contacted by a ghost who needs her help to contact his grieving wife. When Melinda arrives at his home to deliver the message, she discovers that the desperate criminal who robbed the bank is there, but only after he locks her in the basement.

Trapped and fearing for her life, Melinda suddenly realises that the ghost was also involved in the crime and is the only one who knows where the stolen money is hidden.

Melinda realises the spirit belongs to the body of a young man on life-support, who begs her to intervene. Unable to live and prevented from dying, the spirit is trapped by his own body, bitterly watching his parents and wife argue his fate.

In addition, a bizarre haunting brings her closer to Professor Payne while Delia struggles to teach Ned, and ultimately herself, how to find closure.

Unfortunately, the ghost is plagued by a horrible condition that limits his speech and makes it difficult for Melinda to determine his needs.

After a visit to Professor Payne links him to the ghost, he heatedly questions Melinda’s motives for her intuitive inquiries.

At first, the ghost can’t identify himself to Melinda, but he claims that the widow weeping at the graveside every day is not his wife.

Slowly, the ghost is able to remember things about his life and confesses to Melinda that he abandoned his wife and young daughter, which mirrors Melinda’s own background.

As Melinda tries to put aside her personal feelings, she attempts to unravel the mystery of who is buried in the grave.

In tonight’s episode of GHOST WHISPERER, Melinda encounters a ghost that doesn’t appear to see or hear her who seems to be attached to the box of handmade ornaments that Delia insists Melinda buy.

Melinda senses something strange about the ornaments that she and Delia come across at a flea market and is puzzled by the ghost that comes along with them who refuses to acknowledge her.

When Melinda picks up any of the objects, she sees wild images that appear to be in the ghost’s mind, which may be his only way of communicating with her. She decides to visit Professor Payne to see if he can explain the phenomenon.
