The new year is barely upon us yet we are being bombarded by countless sneak peeks and promos for new shows “coming soon” in 2013 – which will only ramp up as the year gets under way.

Believe me, the networks generally know when they plan to air most shows but constantly hit us with those vague words “coming soon” or “new in 2013″ as actual air dates are closely guarded secrets until within a few weeks prior to the scheduled date. Continue reading »

This week sees Ten launch its new Super Sunday to take the network through to the end of the ratings year including new Merlin, Modern Family, The New Normal, Homeland and Vegas. On Saturday night, its new Graham Norton straight from the UK. Continue reading »

This week Ten revamps it line up with numerous US titles fast tracked to the network which will hopefully help lift the poor ratings Ten has seen lately. Underground: The Julian Assange Story debuts on Sunday October 7, with a half hour news special leading into it. Continue reading »

This week sees Ten start to fast track its US content is a bid to bring back viewers – take a fresh look at Ten. new NCIS moves back to Tuesday nights, coupled with NCIS: LA – the way it should be. Other new shows fast tracked include New Girl, Law & Order: SVU and Hawaii Five-O. Meanwhile Saturday night gets a bit of a wildlife feeling. Continue reading »

Ten have launched a new promotion, asking viewers to take a “fresh look at Ten”. The network promises new content including Underground: The Julian Assange Story, new US series The New Normal and Ben and Kate as well as Vegas.

New seasons fast tracked to Ten in October include: Homeland, New Girl, The Good Wife, Glee, Modern Family, Merlin, Hawaii Five-O, NCIS, NCIS: LA and Law & Order: SVU.

Fast tracking international series to Ten has been suggested by many – including myself – as a way the network could bounce back out of its current less than favourable ratings lows.

Details of when some of these programs will air will be released on Sunday (subject to embargo), with others to follow over the next week or so.

Expect to see more of this campaign over coming weeks.

And – yes – give Ten a fresh look!
