Aden’s guilt gets the better of him.
Leah makes a shocking discovery about Roman.
Belle gets a wakeup call in rehab.

Rachel and Tony are back from their honeymoon.

Roman has nightmares and continues being really strict about everything being in the right place around the house. He also freaks out when a door shuts and has a flashback to the accident.  Leah tells Roman she’s missed him and he says he’s missed her too. 

Aden feels guilty for sleeping with Nicole and is weird around her.  He feels like he cheated on Belle and gone behind Roman’s back.  He also finally tells Roman he’s broken up with Belle.  Nicole suggests telling Roman they slept together but Aden doesn’t want anyone to know.  Aden wants to see Belle but her counsellor doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

Belle slowly opens up to a counsellor at rehab about how she’s lost everything important to her in her life.  Belle learns Liam Murphy is also checked into her rehab!

The news about Charlie and Hugo spreads through Summer Bay.

Hugo, Martha and Charlie

Martha’s not impressed to see that Charlie spent the night with Hugo.

Charlie apologises to Hugo for using him, and regrets it.  Hugo says it was just a one night thing.  She doesn’t want to tell Joey since it won’t happen again.  Hugo won’t tell anyone but Xavier has already told Ruby.  Charlie tells an angry Ruby it was a mistake and is none of her business.   Ruby won’t tell Joey but thinks Charlie’s making a big mistake not telling her.

Hugo tells Martha he “doesn’t do relationships” which she finds funny, and interesting.

Roman, Nicole and Aden

Roman’s home from hospital and doesn’t want counselling or help.

Nicole’s a bit of a mess but Aden reassures her everything will be OK, holding her hand.

Roman accidentally smashes a glass and majorly yells at Nicole for not putting things where they’re supposed to be. He has a flashback to the accident when he hears the glass smash. Later he apologises.

Aden hasn’t yet told Roman he’s broken up with Belle.

Later, Nicole and Aden hang out and Nicole says she always thought Aden was hot… then they KISS passionately and end up sleeping together! There’s a funny scene where Roman comes in and talks to Aden and Nicole pretends not to be there, since he obviously can’t see her in the room.

Charlie and Joey

Charlie is off the hook as Joey’s story matches Charlie’s, but she will probably get a warning.

Joey is relieved they can be together but Charlie, naturally, is guilty for her secret shame of sleeping with Hugo.

Xavier, Hugo, Brendan, Leah and VJ are all back in the Bay.

The charges have been dropped against Brendan and Xavier.

Martha and Hugo

Hugo tells Martha he really struggles to look after Brendan and not just take off.  He cares about him but feels helpless because he can’t fix him. Martha says she likes the softer, weaker side of Hugo.

Brendan starts hassling Hugo about being in love with Martha, then he takes off.

Charlie, Joey and Brett

When Joey’s brother Brett learns that she’s with Charlie, he’s disgusted and graffittis “QUEER” on Charlie’s car and lays a complaint with the police, saying Charlie used her position to intimidate Joey and make sexual advances against her!  As Charlie didn’t take herself off Joey’s case, she could be in real trouble for a conflict of interest.

Leah is surprised but fine with the news that Charlie and Joey are a couple, but she wants to wait a while before telling VJ.

At school, everyone talks about Charlie and Joey being gay – coincidently on the same day Charlie is giving a talk at school which leaves Ruby really embarrassed.

That night Hugo sees Charlie who says she’s not gay and then she kisses him passionately on the beach!

Jai stumbles upon a way to help Miles.
Aden struggles over his feelings about Belle’s addiction.

Belle

Belle doesn’t want visitors in rehab, which upsets Geoff and Annie.

However, Pippa goes to visit her and tries to encourage her, saying it’s how you get yourself out of situations which counts.  Aden also goes to see Belle, but changes his mind.

Later, Belle asks Annie and Geoff to visit her.  Geoff apologises again to Belle.

Aden writes a letter to Belle, saying he is breaking up with her for now, as he can’t be the person she needs him to be – just like when he was in rehab she broke things off with him.  He says he will always love her.  Belle breaks down in tears when she reads the news.

Trey and Miles

The investigator from the education department comes in and interviews Kirsty, Trey and Miles.

Jai goes on Facebook and sees some photos of Trey which look nothing like he does now.    When Miles shows one to Trey, he tells Miles he changed schools because he used to be bullied, he lost lots of weight, changed everything.  Getting a girlfriend would have been the last thing to prove he was successful to his step-dad.  Miles tells Trey to come clean – which he does.  The whole saga is over!

Pippa

Pippa comes to stay while Alf is away for a couple of weeks to look after Annie and Geoff and to help out at the diner.  They’re not so keen to be babysat.

Alf is heading off to Duncan’s wedding, leaving a very stressed Colleen to look after Annie and Geoff, and run the diner as Leah has taken some time off with VJ. So Alf makes a call…  Pip is back!

Roman and Brendan

Roman’s accident will be investigated by the police to see if Brendan will be charged.

Trey

Trey’s dad comes in and argues with Kirsty at the diner while Trey tries to stir up Miles at school. Miles wonders what’s at the root of Trey’s issues.  Trey winds up Jai, who ends up fighting with him at school.

Joey, Charlie and Ruby

Joey decides not to take the job up north.

Ruby sees Joey and Charlie pashing in the car together and is stunned! She leaves school and confronts Charlie about the kiss.  Charlie says she’s in love with Joey.  Ruby can’t believe it and says Charlie’s not gay!  Charlie says she’s agonised over this and she’s not pretending.  Ruby says she knows Charlie and thinks it’s not fair to Joey so she should sort herself out.

Ruby tells Jai that Charlie has been hurt by a lot of guys and must be desperate.  Jai says she should take her sister seriously and tell her she’s there for Charlie.

Ruby freaks out when she sees Charlie and Joey kissing again and argues with her.

Charlie says she wants to be with Joey and has had feelings for her ever since she met her but it wasn’t planned. Ruby says she can’t believe Charlie and Joey are a couple but says she will get used to the idea in time.

Ruby tearfully tells Jai she feels like she’s just lost her sister, that everything has changed in her life.

Charlie and Joey reveal their true feelings.
Roman ends his relationship with Leah.
Xavier confesses to keeping the accident a secret.

There’s nothing wrong with Roman’s eyes – the doctors say it’s his brain choosing not to see and they don’t know how long it will last.

Xavier is shocked to learn about the blindness goes so tells Roman it was Brendan but he didn’t mean to do it.     Roman says he’s not angry at him at all, saying it took a lot of guts to do what he did and doesn’t blame either of them – in fact he respects him.

However, Ruby and Nicole aren’t happy with Xavier for not telling them sooner.

Roman talks to Leah about their relationship and breaks up with her, saying he needs to be alone to recover, that’s the way he deals with things.

Xavier tells Leah how sorry he is and wishes he could go back and change things.

Ruby forgives Xavier but makes him promise never to lie to her again.

Aden

Aden is in a bad mood over Belle and ends up punching his boss!  He gets punched back and gets a blood nose.  The police come, as there’s been a report of an assault (from Joey).

Joey and Charlie

Joey tells Charlie she broke her heart badly and Charlie says she broke hers as well.

Joey has been offered a job up north and wants to know whether or go or not.  Charlie says she’s scared and worried about her job even, her family, friends, how people will look at her.

Joey says she’s in love with her and Charlie says she thinks she’s in love with her too and wants to be with her.  Joey stokes her face and they hold hands then kiss in the car overlooking the beach!

Belle is rushed into emergency.
Hugo is furious when he learns the truth about the accident.
Roman wakes up from his coma.

Belle

Rachel and Tony give Belle CPR after she overdosed on pills.  She’s raced to hospital in a very bad way but survives.  Rachel tells Belle that she could have died and tries to convince her to go to rehab but Belle says no.  So Rachel says she’ll get her sent there against her will, for her own good.

Belle wants to talk to Aden before she goes to rehab but he doesn’t want to see her.

Gina, Xavier and Brendan

Gina and a furious Hugo learn the truth about Brendan causing the accident.  Gina doesn’t like how hard Hugo is on Xavier and says they need to help him.

Hugo and Gina decide for Gina to take Brendan back home and not to tell the police.

However, Xavier calls the police

Roman

Roman wakes up from his coma and can speak but he is blind!  Doctors don’t know if it’s temporary or permanent.

It’s Rachel and Tony’s wedding day.
Gina uncovers Xavier and Brendan’s secret.

Leah continues to talk to Roman while he’s in his coma.

Gina, Brendan and Xavier come back for Rachel and Tony’s wedding.

It’s a gorgeous cloudless day for the big wedding and Rachel looks gorgeous – so do Martha and Leah in their dresses. Colleen cries as always.

Rachel surprises Tony by saying “from our first date, when you gave me that shy little kiss on the cheek, Tony you just swept me away and I’ve never looked back.  I love you Tony Holden and I love this baby that we’ve made together and I’ll love the life that we’ll share together.”

Brendan

Brendan says “blue car… Brendan didn’t mean it mum, it was an accident, it was a secret!” which worries Xavier.  Gina demands to know what’s going on.

Belle

Annie apologises to Belle, saying she loves her and should have been there for her.

Martha is happy to have Geoff and Annie at the farm for a night but doesn’t want them long term, otherwise she will call Irene.

Belle tries to assure people that everything’s fine now.

However, Belle has some pills in her handbag as her “security blanket” which Aden finds at the wedding.  After he gets angry at her and storms off, Belle drinks champagne and takes more pills!  Geoff sees her and walks off unimpressed.

When no-one’s looking, Belle collapses!

Martha and Hugo

Martha finds it a little weird to hear “Mrs Holden” being announced.  Hugo tells Martha that Jack would have been so proud of Martha doing up the farm and says she looks extraordinarily beautiful.
