House

9.30pm Wednesday, February 23 on Ten

Looks like Plainsboro’s poster boy. Taub. is in a bit of hot water. He failed his last medicalexam. and it is now up to Foreman to play tutor and bring him up to speed.

Meanwhile. House discovers there’s a new lady in Wilson’slife. and he’s not happy. Not happy to the point of sabotage.

And the medicaldilemma of the week sees a woman with an extraordinary memory experience temporary paralysis. which is further triggered when her sister comes to visit.

Even before the show has aired, Seven have back flipped (again) on the Monday night timeslot for Conviction Kitchen.

Set to premiere tonight (Tue Feb 22), at 9.30pm after Packed to the Rafters, Conviction Kitchen was to move to its regular timeslot of 8.30pm Mondays from next week – Mon Feb 28.

Now, it will remain at 9.30 Tuesdays, meaning that Parenthood will not be seen in the interim. :(

Next Monday, Feb 28 at 8.30 will be Bones, while the following Monday, March 7, 8.30pm is TBA.

Now – I wonder what it was that made Seven change their mind? Was it the fact that Ten are putting House on now at 8.30 Mondays or are they concerned about “feel good” opposition in This Is Your Life on Nine?

Or could it have been the two and a half star review that David Knox gave the show on TV Tonight yesterday that have made Seven decide to leave it after the Rafters?

Honestly, the change is last minute enough – surely they could have at least seen how it rates tonight before making this decision? Just another 24 hours? Yes, Bones will outrate House and yet another show hosted by Eddie, but moving Conviction Kitchen perhaps signifies Seven may not have too much faith in the show.

Third week of official ratings is not even half way through and already, between the three commercial main channels and some of the digitals (namely GO!, GEM and 7mate mostly) we have seen an average of at least one timeslot or program change a day between them all.

And that does not include minor amendments like classification updates or corrections or program story line updates!

Ten have made some changes to their nightly line up from next week, including moving House from Wednesdays to Monday nights at 8.30pm from Mon Feb 28, after having a week off.

The NCIS repeat that airs on Monday 8.30 this week moves to Tuesday next week, at 9.30pm, making an NCIS double, while Lie to Me as a result moves to Wednesday night at 9.30pm from March 2.

It sums up like this:

Mon Feb 28
7.30 Glee
8.30 House
9.30 Good News Week

Tue Mar 1
7.30 Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation
8.30 NCIS new
9.30 NCIS rpt

Wed Mar 2
7.30 The Biggest Loser Families
8.30 Blue Bloods
9.30 Lie to Me

vs

Lose weight or eat food?

Perhaps one temptation for the families on the Biggest Loser might be to attend and eat at one of the dinner parties in My Kitchen Rules!

The only night that the two shows are against each other is Wednesday night.

Next Wednesday, after the final instant restaurant in My Kitchen Rules, there will be a cook off between the two teams with the lowest score in each group. That will happen at the end of scoring for the sixth team in group 2, which means that the cook off will extend the show by 30 minutes.

In response to Seven’s scheduling, Ten have extended The Biggest Loser on that night to 90 minutes as well, as an attempt to avoid viewers flicking over for the cook off.

That means the scheduling for the rest of next Wednesday on Ten (and Seven) will be delayed by half an hour.

Also, on that night, Blue Bloods is a double episode, House has a week off.

The night for Ten looks like this:

7.30 The Biggest Loser Families
9.00 Blue Bloods
10.00 Blue Bloods
11.00 6PM with George Negus
11.30 Ten news with Sports Tonight
12.00 Overtime
1.00 Letterman

Letterman seems to sink later and later into the night, but at least it is not against Craig Ferguson on ELEVEN.

 And on Seven:

 7.30 My Kitchen Rules
9.00 Criminal Minds
10.00 City Homicide
