Master conman Mickey Bricks (Adrian Lester) returns with his team of talented con artists – expert fixer Ash ‘three socks’ Morgan (Robert Glenister), master roper Albert Stroller (Robert Vaughn) and brother and sister team Sean (Matt Di Angelo) and Emma Kennedy (Kelly Adams).

The final series comes to a dramatic conclusion when Mickey proposes taking on their most dangerous ‘mark’ yet. In the team’s sights is Madani Wasem a multi-millionaire who inherits his father’s Bahraini business.

Unpopular with the company directors who have prevented him taking control, he operates using violence and threats to get what he wants. He has to prove that he can make money for the company before the board will let him take control and this is what Mickey intends on exploiting. The stakes are as high as they have ever been. It’s the end of the road for Mickey and the gang but will they go out in a shower of money or a hail of bullets?

Dale Ridley a former TV game show host sacked for corruption, is now an equally dishonest property developer, bribing his way into getting what he wants but clever enough to let his minions appear to be the twisters. When he demolishes Albert’s favourite pub, the hustlers decide to make him their latest mark. Posing as American businessmen, Albert and Micky persuade him to buy into their consortium which is aiming to purchase London City Studios – the very building from which Ridley was sacked and which he is itching to bull-doze. The appearance of Ash’s young godson Alfie threatens to derail the whole con.

When the grifters’ friend, Carol, suffers a heart attack, the gang discover she’s been the victim of a sham diet plan run by American fraudsters Dr Dean Deville and his wife, Dana. Determined to put the corrupt fraudsters through their paces, Mickey hatches a weight-loss scam to sell them a miraculous diet pill, but knows he’ll first need to gain their trust with an elaborate convincer. He lures the couple in by claiming he can steal a much-desired drug while Ash, dressed in a fat suit, speedily loses weight. The Devilles are intrigued by the weight loss and Ash lets slip that he’s been taking a stolen diet medication. The team convince Dean and Dana to steal the formula from a pharmaceutical lab but it’s a risky endeavour. Have the grifters gone too far this time?

The law catches up with the crafty conmen when corrupt police officer DI Fisk is bribed into bringing them down. Unaware of Fisk’s watchful eye, the gang moves in on their latest mark, Linda Runcorn, the crooked CEO of an online hotel and restaurant guide. They develop an inheritance scam to convince Linda a wealthy heir has left her valuable jewellery and an impressive estate. Meanwhile, Fisk arrests Sean’s exgirlfriend, pickpocket Kat on false charges, blackmailing her to spy on the team so he can catch them. Left with no choice, Kat persuades Sean to let her join the con. Things get heavier when Fisk demands that Kat plant cocaine in Emma’s bag, resulting in Emma’s arrest. With Emma in prison and the grifters under surveillance, there seems little way the Hustle gang can escape unscathed…

The gang have a big problem. Ash and Mickey have tried to capitalise on the theft of a rare Picasso by selling a fake to a well-known collector, Petre Sava. But it was Sava who owned the stolen original, and now he thinks Mickey and Ash were behind the theft. Sava has taken Mickey prisoner, and Ash and the others have just a few hours to find the real stolen painting and return it. If they don’t, then Mickey is a dead man.

With their usual contacts unable to give any clues, Ash takes the others to visit renowned Picasso forger mad Dolly Hammond. Dolly is truly crazy, and Sean is terrified when she demands a snog from him in return for information. Soon the gang are pointed in the direction of the McCrary brothers, and told that they stole the original painting for renowned gangster Harry Holmes as a present for his father-in-law. To get the painting back they’ll need to steal it back from Harry, but all the while the clock is ticking, and Petre Sava is thinking up even more brutal ways of harming Mickey.

The Hustle team is back and making more money than ever now that the Olympics are in town, but a moment of random kindness from Albert draws them into an altogether darker con. The mark is Dexter Gold, a fast-talking, smooth-dressing wide boy who runs a ‘cash for gold’ exchange designed to part the old and vulnerable from their precious treasures in return for a pittance. That is only half the story though and Dexter’s cheeky chappie persona is really a front for his role as a middle-man for stolen gold bullion.

Meanwhile, Eddie finally has enough of the gang’s childish behaviour when he finds that someone has defaced his precious photo of Liverpool legend Ian Rush. Failing to see the funny side, and certain that the culprit is West Ham supporter Ash, Eddie bans the team from the bar until he owns up. But for once Ash is innocent and, though the absence of Eddie’s breakfasts is taking its toll, there is no way he will own up to something he did not do. It is stalemate.

When an old colleague Cool Hand Cooper (Shaun Dooley) posts himself to Eddie’s (Rob Jarvis) bar in a crate, Mickey (Adrian Lester) and the team are intrigued.

During a bank job he did over ten years ago, Cooper stole some diamonds and buried them in an old machinery yard before being caught. Unbeknown to Cooper at the time, the diamonds belonged to the mafia – the Pachini family headed by a very dangerous man Carlo…

and he wants his diamonds back.

After a fire mysteriously breaks out at Eddie’s bar, Mickey (Adrian Lester) meets with Carlo to buy the team some time. Since the robbery, a police station has been built over the old machinery yard and the team find themselves thrust into a daring, daylight heist to retrieve the diamonds which are buried beneath the busy police station and things look stacked against them.

Meanwhile Albert (Robert Vaughn) is visited by an old flame from his past who brings a shocking revelation, and a second chance of sorts for Albert is presented.

Ash (Robert Glenister) is outraged to learn that his old football club has gone into administration, brought down by the greed of one corrupt football agent, Don Coleman (David Harewood). Time to get revenge.

The team investigate all they can about Don Coleman, an ex-footballer, he now runs a talent agency and sponsorship company brokering millions of dollars worth of deals a year.

The team launch themselves into a high stakes con involving expert salesmanship and fake footballers, Sean (Matt Di Angelo) becomes Brandon Casey a top notch Canadian footballer looking to relocate to the UK and Ash is his manager desperate to make it happen. The team get nervous when they hand over �50,000 to Don in order to earn his trust, but Mickey assures them it’s all part of the con and to keep their eye on the end game.

So far so good, but when Ash suffers an injury and wakes up with a rare condition that doesn’t allow him to lie, surely the con is up? it looks like this might be one mark who’s about to get away.

9:20pm – Saturday, August 4 on ABC1

Mickey (Adrian Lester) and Ash (Robert Glenister) think they’ve found their next mark when their old grifter mate Benny (Denis Lawson) reveals he’s in debt and running for his life from an Iranian hard man named Danush (Chook Sibtain). Danush is known for his propensity for violence. Benny went as far as to fake his own death to try and escape the debt he owes Danush, a debt he knows he can’t pay.

The team decide that Danush would be a worthy mark and would also be a way to help Benny. But figuring out a con proves to be harder than usual. Benny doesn’t know much about him and it seems neither do a lot of people. Sean (Matt Di Angelo) risks life and limb by breaking into Danush’s business to find out what they can about him.

The team decide to launch a cigarette smuggling con but Benny thinks that Danush is too dangerous. Will Mickey and Ash heed his warning or will they find themselves victim to arguably their most violent, ruthless mark to date?

American casino owner and infamous grifter buster Marcus Wendell (Michael Brandon) is in town and Albert (Robert Vaughn) has an old family score to settle. Marcus’s ancestors once claimed to have caught Albert’s great-grandfather, Charlie Stroller (Tristan Tait), cheating at roulette, a claim that was false and which went on to ruin his life.

Albert makes a deal with Marcus to restore Charlie’s reputation, but if he loses, not only will Charlie’s tainted history remain but the reputation of the whole team will be ruined.

The team set upon a plan to sell Marcus a rigged roulette wheel but this is no ordinary challenge; Marcus knows who they all are and even knows what they are planning. It’s a huge risk: can the team really beat the world’s most unconnable mark or is this challenge set to be their last? In the end it all comes down to a tense game of roulette.
