This week on I SHOULDN’T BE ALIVE, three British climbers are ascending Mount McKinley, one of the biggest challenges is mountaineering, but with just 300 yards to go to the summit they are trapped by a storm and the temperature plummets to minus 60 degrees. With hypothermia and frostbite setting in the only chance of survival is getting down the mountain as quickly as possible, so they set off roped together in a race against time. But disaster strikes when they plummet 300 feet and with only one of the team able to carry on, it seems their chances of making it down alive are over!

This week on I SHOULDN’T BE ALIVE, Melissa Armstrong lands the job of a lifetime – filming an underwater volcano in the Solomon Islands with David Tomlinson, a friend and experienced diver. Whilst diving, the weather above them turns into an ugly squall and on reaching the surface, their boat is nowhere to be seen. Thinking the worst the boat driver returns to shore to raise the alarm and leaves the two stranded… 30km from shore and surrounded by barracuda, hammerhead sharks, and a battle to make it home alive.

After setting off along a tough trail, temperatures begin to rise as an intense heat wave takes hold. Having drunk all their water, dehydration and panic set it and the three set out in a bid to get help. However, it all gets too much for David and he collapses from heatstroke just yards from the Colorado river… but can his friends save his life?
