I Will Survive and former Hi 5′er Nathan Foley will perform an intimate 1 and a half hour gig at Lizotte’s in Dee Why on Sydney’s northern beaches. I Will Survive: Priscilla
The winner of “I Will Survive” has been announced and the inaugural winner is … Mike Snell.
Yesterday I chatted to Mike and have to say he is a lot different that how he comes across on the show. Mike even admits that he was edited as “too serious” and he is actually extremely funny and so passionate about his career. A well deserved win!
Congratulations Mike! So you’ve won $250,000, a 12 month contract with ICM management in New York plus a 4 week stay there. Did you think you could win?
I did think that I could, but I doubted it at times. I got slack for not being myself but had such strong ethics and determination. It’s hard to set in. Continue reading »
The season finale starts in The Big Apple after the elimination of the lovely and funny Rohan last week in Las Vegas. Twelve contestants have been wilted down to Nathan Foley, Tom Sharah and Mike Snell. They are in awe of Broadway and ready to find out who will make it to the final two.
Sadly, it’s time for the final flash mob. In the heart of New York in Times Square the boys perform to “On Broadway” by The Drifters. Tom looks great in a fairy floss wig, Nathan is rocking it out with a rainbow Mohawk of sorts and Mike is embracing his inner Tina Turner I think. Continue reading »
Thank you to Sean, Davin, Tom and Rohan for coming to The Stonewall, for the finale. Again congratulations to Mike and the recap will be here tomorrow – including all the audience reactions from the night. Continue reading »
Rohan this afternoon discussed his joy on making it all the way to (almost) the end. The theatre star made it all the way to Los Angeles and then Las Vegas, before being sent home tonight. He loved every minute of the competition and even the pressure that came with it and hopefully we will be catch him in his own show soon.
What were your favourite experiences on the show?
I loved last week, singing in the recording studio and my rendition of “I Can See Clearly Now”. They were the two moments I was most proud of. Continue reading »
Here is my interview with tonight’s “I Will Survive” eliminated contestant, Stephen Mahy. The extremely talented performer that appeared in Australia’s production of Jersey Boys lead role and is a WAAPA elumni was an honour to talk too and someone we will see on Broadway soon – if there is justice in the world.
Do you think you deserved to be eliminated tonight?
I didn’t think I was the weakest this week. Due to ratings I sometimes wonder if it was a voting show – who would have made it? Continue reading »
Tonight is the first night that Ten have shown the condensed version of I Will Survive – will it help? The boys are heading off to Coober Pedy tonight with guest judge Marcia Hines it’s game on after the shock elimination of Davin last week.
The start of the show has been redone – to get new viewers I guess and features all the upcoming guest judges including Rachel Griffiths, Kelly Rowland and Paula Abdul. I love Paula! This keeps getting better and better (for me). The boys will sing with just a piano tonight as they roll into the desert. Continue reading »
Anyone who is a regular here might of seen that I have become quite a fan of a show recently. I may have even recapped it – something I hardly ever do. I may have even interviewed contestants because I LOVE THE SHOW. Let me say – if I ever recap anything again, just don’t watch the show. Whatever I love GOES! I AM A JINX – The kiss of Death I tell you. Sorry boys. But I guess now that Davin has gone maybe they didnt have enough exciting footage to produce 2 one hour episodes each week ! Continue reading »
Davin – is he really a bitch or misunderstood? He’s a complete bitch and I loved him, every second that we spoke was like talking to a long lost friend. Yes, he says some things sharp, or as I call it – the truth. Where Tom’s mantra was “Don’t be bitter, be better” the wonderful Davin’s is more “Don’t hate me because I am beautiful” and my personal ethos of “Don’t question me!” – see why I loved him! If you like my posts – you’ll love this interview with the man that in my opinion MADE the show! Continue reading »
