In this third instalment, the British Foreign Secretary puts pressure on Dominic King to facilitate the release of his daughter. When King discovers who carried out the original kidnapping, he determines not to let them get away.

Dominic is in Srinagar, Kashmir negotiating the release of the Mehtas, a British Asian family kidnapped while on holiday visiting their son Mahavir.

As the handover is completed, the police arrive and a shoot-out ensues. Dominic secures the release of the family but the kidnappers get away with Mahavir. Boarding a tourist bus in their panic and taking all those inside hostage.

When the tourist bus crashes in a packed market square, Dominic begins the challenge of negotiating for the safety of a multi-national group of people, battling against the intervention of the Indian police and trying to learn the source of the kidnappers’ motives.

When businesswoman Naomi Shaffer (Emma Fielding) is kidnapped while working in South Africa, expert hostage negotiator Dominc King (Eve) thinks he is looking at a straightforward case – pay what the crooks demand and free Shaffer. He successfully negotiates a ransom figure and flies to Cape Town to complete the handover, but things do not go to plan and the release is botched. As the situation turns into a disaster and his troubles escalate, King realises just how much is at stake.

He is pushed to the limit along with boss Angela Beddoes (Helen Baxendale) and ambitious assistant Carrie (Amara Karan). When the criminals strike again in Britain, King must draw on all his reserves to bring the victims home alive. Meanwhile, tensions are brewing at home with his wife Sophie (Natasha Little) and teenage daughter.
