While investigating a serialrapist and killer case. an interview with a victim’s daughter leads Detective Benson to believe the perpetrator responsible may also be her biologicalfather.

With the victim’s family teetering close to imploding. Benson becomes emotionally involved and finds herself far more invested in their lives than she planned.

When two men are sexually abused and branded in the same fashion. SVU are called in to find the link between the two crimes and stop the perpetrator from striking again. It’s not long before SVU catch their man and the case winds up in court.

However. as part of the case’s evidence for trialis inadmissible. the victim is painted as a villain in front of the jury. much to Benson’s disgust. In order to set things right. rules willhave to be broken. but this time it’s not SVU that’s crossing the line.

When a strait-laced woman is found dead in a fountain after a night on the

town. Detectives Benson and Stabler have a hard time putting together a clear picture of the victim. After the tox results are returned.suspicion falls on a professor at a localcollege with radi- calpolitics and equally radicalways to make his points.

This episode also boasts two new stars. new A.D.A. Mikka Von (Paula Patton). and the brand new HQ for SVU!

As Stabler and tutuola’s investigation into the death of an artist leads them to an untraceable se- rial killer, their presence on the case quickly erupts into an nyPd turf war.

Victor Moran (delroy Lindo), is the struggling detective already working on the serial killer’s case who seems to be more concerned with the involvement of SVu than catching the killer.

With the absence of detective Benson, it’s an SVu full of manly men protecting their turf and grunting. But be warned, this ep’s a doozy, so be prepared to blame ‘allergies’ for that tear in your eye at the end.

Newton to be released from psychiatric facility 

Former Underbelly actor Matt Newton is likely to be released before Christmas from the psychiatric facility he has been in over the past three and a half months. Newton, who played Kiwi drug king Terry Clarke on Underbelly, was admitted to the clinic after a series of indiscretions involving alcohol and drugs, losing his hosting job on The X Factor along the way.

Jeremy Irons signs on for Law & Order: SVU guest spot

Veteran British actor Jeremy Irons has been confirmed for an appearance on drama series Law & Order: SVU. The Academy Award-winning actor will play a therapist in the episode which is due to begin filming next month.

Dora the Explorer voice actress drops lawsuit

The 14-year-old actress who lends her voice to Nickelodeon character Dora the Explorer has dropped her lawsuit against the network after initially suing them over unpaid work on the show. Caitlin Sanchez claims she was owed millions of dollars for her promotional work and guest appearances but has decided against pursuing the case in court.

Simpsons producers deny Fox rift

Producers of The Simpsons have denied that there is any serious feud between them and the show’s network Fox after taking a series of digs at Fox News in recent episodes. Slogans such as “Fox News: Not Racist, But #1 With Racists” appeared on Fox News helicopters sparking rumours that a rift had opened between the two parties.

Stabler and Benson are investigating the double murder of a couple in an apartment building belonging to an eccentric former Rockette dancer, Birdie Sulloway. She invites them into her home and asks her nephew, Chet, to x them a martini. The detectives decline, they are more interested in solving their case. They discover that Birdie’s husband, Marv, owned the Ballerina Room inside the building and where one of the victims worked as a dancer.

9.30pm Friday, November 19 on Ten

Pediatrician Gilbert Keppler is found guilty of sexually assault- ing four of his male patients. Soon after his trial, his attorney Lionel Granger informs the detectives that Keppler will be suing the NYPD and the Denslow Medical Centre on the grounds that they knew he was sexually abusing patients long before they took any action to stop him.

Detectives Stabler and Benson decide to go directly to Keppler for questioning only to find him murdered in his apartment. To the detective’s surprise, ADA Alexan- dra Cabot shows up at the crime scene, after three years in the wit- ness protection program. The SVU team must put the past and lost time behind them in order to solve the case.

The first week of summer for Ten sees the return of Rules of Engagement, the final new episode of Glee for 2010, new Simpsons on a new night and Rush continuing on Thursday nights.

Added to the mix new Raising Hope, the return of White Collar, final few eps of Recruits and repeats of various shows including Law and Order: SVU, Lie to Me and NCIS: LA.

Ten will offer movies on Sunday and Friday nights, as well as Saturday nights as usual.

Simspons repeats at 6pm continue while Neighbours remains at 6.30 for a few more weeks yet. Like last year, the 7PM Project will continue throughout summer, with the possible exception of the week between Christmas and New Years.

HBO planning True Blood graphic novels

HBO is planning on extending the popularity of vampire series True Blood next year by releasing a graphic novel next year. The graphic novel will run at six issues from the IDW True Blood comic book series with the first available in February 8, 2011.

Chinese government unhappy over Spooks

Papers in the UK are suggesting that the Chinese government is unhappy with BBC series Spooks over its portrayal of Chinese people. Authorities have expressed their anger over its depiction of the Chinese while the BBC simply state that “it blows hot and cold for us in China”.

DH actress to guest on Law & Order: SVU

Desperate Housewives actress Drea de Matteo has landed herself a guest spot on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The actress will play a battered wife in an upcoming episode of the crime series that is likely to air next year.

True Blood adds Ford to cast

True Blood has added actress Courtney Ford to its cast for the show’s fourth season. Ford, who has previously appeared in the likes of The Vampire Diaries, Ugly Betty, and Grey’s Anatomy, will take up a recurring role on the series as a character called Portia.
