Meanwhile Jay has planned an elaborate surprise evening for Gloria, but his plans keep getting thwarted. And an admirer comes between Cameron and Mitchell on V-day, but they can’t agree whom the admiration is directed towards.

Plans backfire when the kids try to surprise their parents with breakfast in bed on their anniversary, only to catch Phil and Claire in a compromising position. Jay and Gloria’s Vegas getaway is thwarted by a brutally honest email that is accidentally sent to Claire. And Mitch and Cam desperately try to get an “in” at the hot new neighbourhood restaurant whose owner happens to be a mom at Lily’s preschool.

When Claire and Phil implore Alex to relax a little about her studies it causes them to start questioning their own intellectual drives. Gloria tries to befriend another nice couple, much to Jay’s chagrin. And Mitchell and Cameron run into and old female flame of Mitchell’s, only to make a disturbing discovery.

The double epsiodes of The Glades, NCIS: LA and Hawaii Five-O continue in the last week before Christmas.

Claire becomes a determined neighborhood vigilante hoping to catch and stop a menacing car that speeds though their streets. Meanwhile, Phil is busy trying to land an important listing with a difficult client. Jay teaches Manny how to ride a bike (only to learn Gloria needs lessons, too) and Mitchell and Cameron stumble upon a mysterious neighbor (James Mars-den) who is quite the charmer.

7.30pm Monday December 5 on Ten

It’s Luke and Manny’s first school dance, and everyone gets in on the “fun”. Jay and Phil have to take the boys on a mall run, which becomes quite stressful. And Claire revels in the school-dance committee duties, but gets a little jealous when Gloria shows up to help. Meanwhile, Mitch and Cam are horrified to learn that Lily is biting other kids on the playground.

Due to a break in the US, Terra Nova is out. The Offspring replays continue three nights per week, and Rules Of Engagement remains at 8pm Monday and Tuesday nights.

Cam announces that he’s going on a juice fast. Mitch, knowing that he’ll bear the brunt of Cam’s rage over his constant hunger pangs, heads it off by joining Cam on the fast. Jay and Gloria spar over Jay’s overindulgence of Stella, their new dog. Phil is inspired by a documentary on tightrope walking, and takes it up himself. Haley is horrified to learn that her over achieving little sister has been placed in her math class.
