A record 4.193 million viewers (a combined Metro and Regional average audience) watched as the NSW VB Blues broke their eight year drought and finally took back the title of 2014 Holden State of Origin winners -  making it the highest rating television show of 2014 and the highest rating Origin Game in OzTam history.

An audience of 2.699 million viewers across the 5 City Metro market (including 121,000 viewers watching on GEM in Perth) watched as the Blues took back control of the game in the final 20 minutes – securing victory over the XXXX Queensland Maroons in a nail-biting 6-4 finish in Game Two.

The NRL is embroiled in yet another sex scandal after a sex tape involving Warriors player Konrad Hurrell and New Zealand soap opera actress, Teuila Blakely, was leaked on Instagram tonight.

Blakely initially insisted it wasn’t her but then confirmed that it was.

jenhA huge 11m HD LED video screen was the centre piece of  tonight’s Foxtel-MCN 2014 Upfront presentation held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. Led in by the obligatory red  carpet, hundreds of guests arrived into the main dance floor area of the Entertainment Centre greeted by plenty of food and  drinks.

Scheduled to start at 6.30, the show didn’t kick off until soon after 7pm. Jennifer Hawkins was easy to spot in the heavy crowd, towering over everyone there. The cast of Wentworth  and the new Australian Housewives franchise – The Real Housewives of Melbourne – were surrounded by reporters and photographers at the media screen area.
