At an abandoned air field, a “UFO” sighting leads to murder. It turns out the “UFO”, is a drone engineered by a company named Neox. They have been con- tracted by the government to create armed, high energy weapons that are automated thus, requir- ing no human intervention. However, the drones have been malfunctioning and upon field testing, kill 3 Neox employees and their federal liaison. Despite the obvious risks both Neox and the government decide to go ahead with the project. It’s up to Don and the team to shut it down. Meanwhile, David, having recently been promoted, consults Don as to his choices and what he should do next. Don questions where he’s been, his own choices and what is next for him.

New X Factor host named

Home and Away actor Luke Jacobz will replace Matt Newton as the new host of the upcoming X Factor Australia it has been announced. Jacobz, who plays cop Angelo on the Aussie soap, will take up hosting duties on the reality talent show which kicks-off next Monday.

Aniston to guest on Cougar Town

Jennifer Aniston has been confirmed to join her fellow Friends cast member Courtney Cox on Cougar Town in the upcoming second season. Aniston will play Jules’ (Cox) psychiatrist in the season premiere.

Farr joins Grey’s Anatomy

Numb3rs actress Diane Farr will feature in the next season of Grey’s Anatomy, playing a patient under the care of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). Farr, who played FBI agent Megan Reeves in Numb3rs, has also featured in Californication and Desperate Housewives.

Lost props sell at auction

A script for the pilot episode of Lost has sold for US$18,000 at a recent auction in California. A number of other props from the show were sold as well including a computer and hatch door from ‘the Swan’ station which fetched US$19,200 and a large piece of wreckage from Oceanic Flight 815.

When the team is mysteriously removed from a routine custodial kidnapping case of a three year old girl, Don and Charlie must work together outside the system to find her. As they dig deeper, their investigation unravels into a conspiracy surrounding the child and an infamous bio-geneticist. It appears the child is the product of a human cloning experiment gone awry, and the bio-geneticist is willing to resort to murder in order to dispose of any evidence of his wrongdoing.

When a body is discovered on a movie set, a quick investigation reveals the crime has eerie similarities to the movie that is in the process of being shot. Due to the fact that fiction is follow- ing closely to fact, the scriptwriter becomes the prime suspect. Charlie figures out that the time of death was prior to the start shoot date for the project, which casts even more suspicion on the writer. Decoding the writer’s software, Charlie uses algorithms in order to try and crack the writer’s pat- tern and determine guilt or innocence.

9.30pm Friday, July 30 on Ten

Don and his team investigate a deadly gambling ring running a high stakes Russian roulette tournament. They get their first big break when a baby monitor camera picks up a live feed of the tour- nament in progress. The FBI is able to ID one of the partici- pants, Glen Olin, and discover that he has a long history of gambling and that his wife had reported him missing. Charlie is able to find the website dedi- cated to the tournament, and monitors it for the next live feed, which leads them to the actual location of the game. When the FBI burst in and take Olin in to cus- tody, they are quickly forced to let him go when they can’t get any crimes to stick.

10.00pm Friday, July 16 on Ten

The last season of Numb3rs ever starts with a bang, as Don’s team is charged with running VIP security for a big political rally. While scouting out the venue in preparation for the event, Don and his team come under heavy fire and receive a message to stay away from the rally’s leader, activist Benjamin Polk. This overt attempt to scare the leader and the FBI away doesn’t work, as Polk insists on keeping his speaking engagement at the gathering. Further investigations leads the FBI to discover the threats were made by a man whose son was killed during one of Polk’s previous rallies that had turned violent. It is now down to Charlie to work out the vengeful father’s next moves in order to prevent a public assassination.

10.00pm Friday, July 9 on Ten

When Amita is abducted from the Cal Sci offices, Don and his team are quickly on the tail of the getaway van that nabbed her. After the van crashes and explodes, however, through forensics discover she wasn’t actually in the vehicle. When asked to develop the math in order to locate Amita’s whereabouts, Charlie is too emotionally distraught to work on the case, and it is up to Don and his team to crack alone. Calling on the help of Dr. Larry Fleinhardt and FBI Special Agent Ian Edgerton the FBI discover she has been taken by a cult leader who collects women. Can they crack the code without Charlie’s help?

10.00pm Friday, July 2 on Ten

Don’s team investigates a bank robbery which is an exact copy of a 2002 bank heist that was never solved. With no leads to go on, Don sends Nikki and Colby to interview the lead investigator on the 2002 case, disgraced former FBI agent Bloom. He offers little assistance when they question him, but is called in as a possible suspect when it’s discovered he had recently checked out case files for the 2002 bank job, as well as files for two other copy cat robberies that had recently been committed. However, Bloom is cleared when he shows up at the location of the next robbery, which the FBI had staked out, and tries to stop it from happening. It appears that in order to clear his name, Bloom had been following the copy cat cases since they had started. Will joining the team solve the case and clear his name?

10.00pm Friday, June 25 on Ten

Still feeling responsible for Don’s near fatal stabbing, Charlie throws himself into FBI case work and discovers what he believes to be an unnoticed serial killer working in Los Angeles. His discovery relies heavily on complex mathematical modelling, and because of this David, who is in charge while Don recovers, can’t justify committing resources to the case until Charlie has hard evidence. Charlie decides to team up with conspiracy theorist Ron McGill who introduces him to amateur sleuths tracking serial killers. With their help, Charlie is able to discover two other locations where the serial killer had practiced, and ultimately discover the killer’s victim zero. With this additional information, Charlie is able to identify his pattern and the FBI may just catch the killer before his next attack.
