We here at Throng would like to wish all our readers a Happy Easter, and we all hope you enjoy this much deserved long weekend (for those who reap that benefit).

Today, being Good Friday, is a day traditionally shared with family and NOT eating red or white meats. Whether you abide by this rule or not, Throng would like to remind you that Chocolate is a perfectly acceptable dietry suppliment for today (and indeed, the entire weekend), but whatever you do, just have fun!

It’s also important to acknowledge those who may not be able to celebrate Easter with their family, or those families who may not be able to afford such luxuries that we may take for granted. To them, we wish that they have the best possible weekend, and all the very best for the future.

Lastly, the Easter long weekend can be a notorious period for our roads. With this, we wish our viewers a safe holiday, if that’s what you’re getting up to, and please do take caution on the roads. We ALL want a fatality free weekend.

So however you celebrate Easter, what ever it means to you, or whether you don’t celebrate it at all, we wish you all the happiness, safety and love this period can bring.

HAPPY EASTER!

If you’re reading this today; that shows a lot of commitment, and we thank you all for it!

We at Throng would just like to take this time to thank all our readers by wishing you all well for the Christmas/ New Year period. Whether you are with a partner, your family, or a special loved one, no one deserves a sad Christmas, so we all hope you enjoy this day; eat heaps of turkey and just have a laugh!

We also urge you all to be careful and not let any unplanned events ruin your day. Drink responsibly, drive responsibly.

Merry Christmas + a happy new year to all of you!

Ok guy’s, it’s going to be a little hectic over the next couple of months; so there will be a few changes and inconveniences attributed to these. Below are the list of problems and my solutions to these

The Renovators v The Farmer v The X Factor

Ok, so first up, as we all know, there will be a couple of weeks from next ween where we have three reality television shows going up head to head. In this situation, I can’t just tape them all; so there will be a bit of a change coming to how my blogs will work. Well, not too radical.

The X Factor will be blogged live (that is, I blog as it airs ACST). I will then blog The Farmer Wants A Wife same night. No surprised there

For the weeks that there is such a clash, I will be blogging The Renovators Monday episode with the Tuesday episode. That is, I will merge the blog for the Monday episode with the one on Tuesday, as if it were a 90 minute episode so to speak. At times however, I may just blog The Renovators the next day, but Tuesdays are hectic for me.

Out of the Country

From Saturday 17 September to Wednesday 28 September 2011; I will be on holidays with a few friends and will therefore not be able to blog any reality episodes from Sunday 18 September to Tuesday 27 September. As I get back on the Wednesday, I will blog anything that night.

Now, the only major event I can think of that coincides with this holiday is The X Factor Live shows beginning.

From this point on, I won’t be asking people to blog these episodes and as I haven’t had any takers anyway, these episodes will go unblogged. Of course, if you are capable to, you may blog them anyway; however I won’t be doing it.

Shows I Will Not Be Blogging

I just thought I’d mention some of the shows that are quasi-reality, but not really what I would call ‘reality’ television. These are shows that don’t have a set number of contestants aiming for a common goal or outcome with some sort of competitive gameplay in the form of a winning position and/or eliminations.

Four Weddings, Dinner Date Australia, World’s Strictest Parents and the upcoming revival of Young Talent Time do not suffice my definition of ‘reality’ television and have therefore or will not be therefore blogged.

Hey guy’s!

As you know, I’ve been blogging at this site for a little over 2 months now and it has been a pleasure writing for this blog but I regret to inform you all that I will be leaving…

…FOR A WEEK! And then of course I will be back and blogging in no time! However, in the week that I will be on holiday (sometime in September this year), reality television will still be airing with The Renovators, The X Factor and probably some others on at the same time.

Basically, I would really appreciate it if someone would do these for me, in the week that I am away! It is completely volunteer work, and I am looking for someone who can currently post freely to the site or someone who is capable and willing to do the job.

Each of my blog posts can recieve up to 200 views per page and even as high at 500, so doing this will score you some recognition and favour from my devouted readers!

You may all be a bit bewildered at the task at hand, as of course blogging in detail for hours on end can be quite a chore, but I would only ever be asking for a short review or even just a little recap of each show to give missers-out a taste of what they missed with a bit of side info.

For more information, you can inbox me here at Throng or email me at c_rose_luvy1980@hotmail.com. OR, I could email you if you leave it with me in the comments section.

But the bottom line is, there are many fans that I do NOT want to disappoint through my inability to blog during the short period in which I am away and I’m sure anyone willing to do the job would be a lifesaver to some (including me!).

Anyone willing to participate (even if you only want to blog one show and not the rest, although doing them all would be great) should have a TIVO or Play TV ready to record overlapping shows, or at least have access to the internet to catch up online (although I don’t recommend this).

Thanks for your support and hope to hear from you all soon! :D

So I’ve been thinking aloud to myself on this very boring day of mine, would it be useful to get a twitter accout?

I’ve never been into a personal twitter account for myself and my friends to keep in contact, but maybe for fellow readers of this site to engage in my blogs, it could be a better option.

This website utilises Twitter for its own devices, so maybe it’s best that I do the same.

I’m not quite sure yet, but I would like to know what some of you guys think on my blog taking to social mediums!

Just comment below with your thoughts, and thanks for your time!

Celebrities.

If you were walking in the street and walked up to one and said “I think you are incredibly beautiful, would you consider having dinner with me?” how do you think the conversation would go?

You have Angelina & Brad, Isla Fisher & Sacha Baron Cohen, Jay-Z & Beyonce, Miranda Kerr & Orlando Bloom just to name a few. You always hear about hook-ups on screen but rarely do you hear about them hooking up with the lighting man or the stunt double or the people outside of the celebrity circle.

Why do you think that is? Do you think its because the rest of the world would look down on you if you are not able to? Or because they have money then they have to be with someone who would have to have money like them?

This is why i do not have any sympathy for Jennifer Anniston. Yes she is unlucky in love. However, she is only looking to hook up with celebrities. John Mayer, Gerard Butler, Vince Vaughn just to name a few. Would you think that if she opened her eyes wider then she should would be able to see the everyday common man?

They walk around as if they are in this great big bubble and if you are not well known for something or have more money than you know what to do with then you are not included.

I dislike Angelina as she seems to think that she can do what she wants and i guess with the amount of money she has this is true and has an automatic seat next to God when she leaves the earth. However, what i do respect of her is that she donates over $7million to charities. Which is definately i believe celebrities should be doing more of. You hear about Paris Hilton spending over a million on diamond encrusted shoes? What the hell for?

I hope some of them wake up to themselves and realise there is more people on this earth than just themselves who are equally as good at things as they are.

A study from the Australian University of Sydney shows 70% of respondents have downloaded television shows, most illegally, and that of these, a quarter of them do so at least twice a week.

The author of the report said “The most popular reason for downloading was to avoid large delays between when programs are broadcast in their country of origin, usually the U.S., and here in Australia”
