Reality star promoted to series regular

Former Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County reality star Stephen Colletti has been promoted to a series regular on teen drama series One Tree Hill. Colletti, who featured on the MTV reality series beside The Hills’ Lauren Conrad, joined One Tree Hill in its fourth season in a recurring role.

I used to absolutely love one tree hill, I mean the type of love where every time you meet someone called Lucas, Nathan, Brooke, Haley, Peyton (ok, maybe not so much), you can’t help but think of the characters. And every time you hear a song from the show you are brought back to the exact scene it played. The whole drama was real, the characters interesting, yet relateable, but somehow its all gone down since there.

Seasons 1-4 are classic, and in my mind it will be very hard for another teen drama to beat that. Season 5 was when all the teenagers were all grown up, 4 years later and something about it just wasn’t the same. I still love season 5 but it did slowly start to get worse from here. Now, in its seventh season, and without Lucas and Peyton- the destined-to-be-together highschool sweethearts, the show just isn’t the same. All the drama has gone down hill, resorting to cliched story lines and the original spunk of the show has pretty much gone out the window.

Saturday October 10 3.00pm

This week we busily try and hold down lunch as the giddy Lucas and Peyton busily plan their upcoming nuptials. Thankfully, Brooke things back down to earth when she sails in with a face full of bruises from her attack last week. Shaken and scared, the feisty shop owner seeks out help to ensure she stays safe and in charge.

And while Nathan turns to Skills to help him out with his basketball game, it’s Skills’ games with Jamie’s grandmother that’s got his attention.

Saturday October 3 3.00pm

We know what’s been missing from your weekend. A good, old fashioned boy-loves-girl, loses-girl-to-best-mate, marries-best-mate’s-mum-out-of -spite, dies-and-is –brought-back-to-life drama.

Lucky for you, One Tree Hill returneth to our screens. Equal parts cheesy, bitchy, and raunchy, the new series premiere doesn’t disappoint.

We return to find Lucas still plagued by the question: Brooke, Peyton, or Lindsey? This episode, he finally makes the decision about which girl is Miss Right. Naturally, the next step is a shotgun wedding in Vegas.

Elsewhere: Nathan is keeping his lingering back problems hidden from his family; Brooke must fight to keep control over her company; two favourites depart; and Dan makes it to the top of the transplant list, only to be run down by crazy nurse Carrie.

Jump right in…the water is shallow.
