This years nominees, expect to see George Clooney (The Ides of March), Brad Pitt (Money Ball) and Matt Damon (We Bought A Zoo) for Best Actor. Michelle Williams (My Week With Marilyn), Charlize Theron (Young Adult) and Meryl Streep for (Iron Lady) are expected for Best Actress nods.

Nominees will be announced the day after or late at night here, due to time difference. Expect most to air on STARPICS or other Foxtel Channels.

James Franco and Anne Hathaway are “in training” for their upcoming job as hosts of the Academy Awards  this weekend.

Channel Nine presents a night of Hollywood glamour next Monday with a very special episode of This Is Your Life, followed by the 83rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony.

This Is Your Life, Australia’s all-time favourite feelgood program, has had a makeover and returns in a revamped contemporary format, celebrating the life of actress, director and producer Deborra-Lee Furness.

It features appearances from her husband Hugh Jackman, Jerry Seinfeld, Sigrid Thornton, Nicole Kidman, Simone Buchanan, John Clarke, Peter Phelps, Kerry Armstrong and Tim Costello, all paying tribute to this very special Australian.

Together with performances from Kate Ceberano, Tom Burlinson and Colin Hay, it promises to be captivating viewing.

Host Eddie McGuire will surprise Deborra-Lee with heartfelt reunions, spontaneous revelations and stories from friends and family from around the world.

“This Is Your Life has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding hosting jobs I’ve ever had,” McGuire said.

“The warmth of the studio audience and the moving stories of our guests provide inspiration and lessons in never giving up, in a way that only television can.”

Following This Is Your Life, Richard Wilkins presents the Red Carpet arrivals from the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, providing viewers with a front-row seat for all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s elite as they arrive for their night of nights.

Then, from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, comes one of the most hotly anticipated ceremonies in years, hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway.

Will Australians Nicole Kidman, Jackie Weaver and Geoffrey Rush take out honours in their categories?

This Is Your Life & The 83rd Annual Academy Awards: Monday, February 28 from 8.30pm on Nine.

Nine again in this year, will be broadcasting Hollywood’s night of nights – the Oscars live from 12.30pm Monday Feb 28. At 12pm, just before the ceremony will be Red Carpet arrivals, hosted by Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson. The 83rd Annual Academy Awards will be hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway.

Aussie hopefuls this year include Nicole Kidman, Jackie Weaver and Geoffrey Rush.

Nine will replay the Awards Ceremony at 9pm that night. As the scheduled airing time for the prime time repeat is shorter than the time for the live broadcast, expect the delayed telecast to be edited.

On Pay TV, the Oscars will be broadcast live on Starpics 1 and in HD on Starpics 1HD. You can catch the show two hours later on Starpics 2/2HD as well as replays later in the evening. As always, E! channel will feature live and replayed red carpet action throughout the day.
