Some tweaking to 7mate programming from next week.

From next Tuesday, August 9, the double How I Met Your Mother that usually airs at 7.30pm moves to 8.30pm Thursday, swapping timeslots with Mythbusters which now moves to 7.30 Tuesdays.

On Sunday August 14, the Sunday night movie has change to Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl, instead of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

On Monday August 15, No Ordinary Family will screen as a double episode with the 8.30 episode of Family Guy and the 9pm episode of American Dad out.

Finally, Fridays get a work over from August 19, with double How I Met Your Mother from 7.30pm, Family Guy at 8.30pm and American Dad at 9.00pm. These shows replace current programming of Pimp My Ride and My Name is Earl.

And what happened to the Friday night AFL on 7mate in regional NSW and QLD? Seems to no longer be airing – for those with access to 7mate in those areas, live Friday night AFL was often a good option.

7mate expands it programming range with the network premiere of Mythbusters on Sunday June 19 at 6.30pm. The first episode on 7mate is called Impossible Heists 1 which puts movie myths to the test with extraordinary results. Mythbusters also airs at 8.30pm Thursday June 23.

Pimp My Ride makes its free to air debut on Wednesday June 22 at 7.30pm. Hosted by rapper XZIBIT, the first episode pimps up a broken down Hijet.

Following Pimp at 8.30pm is Jersey Shore Night. Not only is there a double episode from 8.30pm, there is a reunion special at 10.30pm followed the special Before the Shore which includes previously unseen footage featuring the stars of the series.

7.30 Thursday sees the premiere of new series Swamp People, the first episode is called Big Head Bites It focussing on master hunter Junior Edwards.

Sydney and Brisbane get live AFL on Friday June 24 from 7.30pm on 7mate for Hawthorn Vs Essendon. Elsewhere, My Name is Earl plays at 7.30, with movie Kindergarten Cop at 8.30pm.

Movies: Sunday June 19 is First Blood with Sylvestor Stallone, Urban Legends: Bloody Mary at 10.30pm Friday June 24, Kindergarten Cop at 8.30pm Friday in VIC, SA and WA, and Down Periscope at 9.30pm Saturday June 25.
