Who would’ve thought an entire series could be built around accessories?  A Project Runway spinoff is set to premiere in the US this week, based

Hosted by supermodel turned mogul, Molly Sims, the series pits 12 contestants against each other as they try to out bobble, out shine, and out bedazzle each other in a series of accessory design challenges.

Sims is joined by the contestants’ mentor, lifestyle expert Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti, and judges designer Kenneth Cole and InStyle Editor, Ariel Foxman. The series will also have guest judges, including Will & Grace’s Debra Messing.

If shown here, Arena would more than likely show as they have the Project Runway franchise.

Craig, Johnny and Dylan have been selected for the finale and they now face their final challenge. They have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to kick-start their fashion future by creating a collection of 10 designs which will be showcased at a live fashion show in front of their fashion industry peers. Final airs next week.

Neighbours, Eleven, 6.30pm
Apparently four Collingwood football players appear tonight in a scene with Gemma and Eve. After seeing Kyle leave Charlie’s with another girl, Jade does her best to avoid him. Meanwhile, Sonya learns of the shopping centre development.

Project Runway has added a franchise to the hit show. Project Runway All Stars.

World-famous designers Isaac Mizrahi and Georgina Chapman will serve as judges on the new series, which will be hosted by supermodel Angela Lindvall and feature fashion tastemaker and Marie Claire Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles as mentor for the “Runway” veterans. “Project Runway All Stars” will premiere with a 12-episode order.

These designers will each vie for the most lucrative prizing ever in “Project Runway” history. Prizes include an exclusive designer’s boutique in select Neiman Marcus stores and on NeimanMarcus.com, $100,000 dollars in technology and office space to help grow their business from HP and Intel, $100,000 cash from L’Oreal Paris, a feature spread in Marie Claire, for which he or she will serve as a guest editor for one year, and a sewing and embroidery studio provided by Brother International.

Project Runway airs here on Arena and is more than likely to show this in 2012.

Lost “deleted” scene released at Comic Con

Lost creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse unveiled a so-called “deleted” scene from the series at their Comic Con 2011 panel ‘Totally Lost: One Year Later’ this week. The clip was said to prove that the series was planned all along but in reality it was shot just a few weeks ago as a special treat for Comic Con attendees.

Goodman signs on for Community

John Goodman has signed on to appear in the third season of Community. The Big Lebowski actor will play the vice dean of the school of air conditioning repair on the comedy series.

Kerr lands TV role

Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr has signed on for a role in the Project Runway All-Stars reality series. The role is said to be a springboard or her to break into film acting.

Series regular cast on House

Actress Odette Annable has landed a series regular role on House as a doctor at a prison. Annable has previously appeared in the likes of Brothers & Sisters and the J.J. Abrams film Cloverfield.

Teen Wolf, Seven, 9.30pm
This addictive series will be a highlight for Twihards and those alike. That being said it’s not like the original movie, and the second episode gets sinister. Definately worth a watch for tweens plus and those who remember The Lost Boys movie etc.

Being Human, Eleven, 9.30pm
Aiden and Josh are just your typical vampire and werewolf, looking for a place to live. When they rent a house, they soon discover that the landlord’s dead fiancee is still very much around.

Can of Worms, Ten, 8.30pm
Join host, Ian Dicko Dickson, and a panel of special guests as we ask Australia the curly questions of everyday life. Guests include: Jason Ackermanis, Craig Reucastle, George McEncroe.

Project Runway Australia, Arena, 8.30pm
UberModel Megan Gale and designer extroidinaire Alex Perry bring us the 3rd season of the designing challenge hit. See the 12 fight it out for the title.

The Block, Nine, 7pm
Tonight is the first room reveal. By the ads we know 2 teams tie. Will it be the inexperienced Polly and Waz, the different styled sisters or the retro styled other teams.

The teams tonight become Czech spies, but not all are as observant as they need to be. The teams also have to contend with the national ice hockey goalie and a local sausage sizzle.

Cameron Diaz to film Man vs Wild episode

Following the news Jake Gyllenhaal had filmed an episode of Man vs Wild with Bear Grylls, it’s been announced that Cameron Diaz will film an episode also. Grylls confirmed in a recent interview: “She’s agreed to it, which is great. So we’re going to do it in due course.”

Guest stars confirmed for new Gervais comedy

Sting, Steve Carell and Johnny Depp have all been officially confirmed to appear in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s new comedy series Life’s Too Short. The trio will appear in cameo roles on the sitcom that centres on the life of dwarf actor Warwick Davis.

Kim Kardashian, Christina Ricci, Zoe Saldana and Malin Akerman have all been confirmed to make guest judging appearances on the new season of Project Runway. 

Smallville actor jailed

A former Smallville and ER actor has been sentenced to one year in prison for his role in a drug ring. Sam Jones III pleaded guilty to conspiracy to sell large quantities of the painkiller Oxycodone.

An all-stars season of Project Runway has been announced that will see previous contestants having another crack at the fashion design reality show. 

The Situation signs MTV deal

Jersey Shore cast member Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has signed a development deal with MTV. Sorrentino is said to be finalising the concept of a new show to be shot and presented in pilot form to the network later this year.

Colfer sells Disney Channel pilot

Glee’s Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt, has confirmed he has sold a pilot to the Disney Channel called The Little Leftover Witch. The project focuses on a witch who joins a family after crash-landing into their house.

Glee 3D film on the way

Fox has announced it will be releasing a Glee Live 3D film that will feature footage taken from this American summer’s live Glee tour. The 3D film will spend two weeks in cinemas.
