The panellists’ buzzers are all forms of laughter. Stephen Fry tests the QI audience measure of happiness with the ‘QI Audience Pleasure Gauge’. Every time the pointer enters the red ‘happy’ zone as a result of something the audience likes, the panellist responsible for the happiness will be awarded a bonus.

Tonight on QI Stephen Fry and the panel will be looking at all manner of ‘Hoaxes’. Joining QI Master are Alan Davies, Danny Baker, Sean Lock and David Mitchell. In keeping with the theme of the night one of the panellist’s buzzers is a hoax.

There’s also a hoax card to play. There will be one question during the show which is a hoax. If the panellists play their hoax card there will be extra points to score. But if they play their card and the question isn’t a hoax, they’ll lose points.
