The second week of Easter non-ratings which runs from Easter Sunday April 4 until Saturday April 10 sees Ten drop some of their normal programming for specials and repeats. With Daylight Saving ending Sunday morning (where applicable), at least we have the Easter long weekend to get used to it being dark an hour earlier by the clock.
On Sunday April 4, Biggest Loser is down to the final four contestants. One of which loses a whopping 8kg which is amazing at this stage of the competition. Later in the week, the 42km marathon gets under way in which ALL contestants including those eliminated throughout the series compete for the title.
At 7.30pm, it’s the best of Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation special, highlighting the best bits of the show in its short history. Called Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation: Family Assortment, the special is set to remind viewers of all those hilarious moments with Amanda Keller, Charlie Pickering and Josh Thomas as the GENerals for Baby boomers, Gen X and Gen Y respectively.
At 8.30pm, airing for the third time since its free to air debut Feb 2009, is the movie the Devil Wears Prada. Good Wife is off for the week.
On Monday night at 8.30pm is Melbourne International Comedy Festival Presents: The Comedy Allstars Cabaret AKA “Supershow”. Special host Paul McDermott together with Charlie Pickering (he’s getting a fair bit of TV now, isn’t he?), Reginald D Hunter, Denis Scott and Axis of Awesome as well as other local and international comedians will help close out the Easter long weekend with a night of laughs.
Speaking of Easter Monday, be aware that regular day time TV will be off due to sporting commitments. That means no Oprah, Doctor Phil, Ready Steady Cook, or Bold and the Beautiful on Monday April 5th.
