It is obvious now that Seven’s new renovation series House Rules will overlap with Nine’s The Block – which we now know will premiere next Sunday May 12, 6.30pm while House Rules is now being promoted as starting next week.

Seven are now ramping up their coming soon and sneak peek ads for their new renovation show – House Rules. House Rules is Seven’s version of Nine’s The Block where complete strangers renovate poeple’s houses room by room over 6 weeks. Seven have now also thrown in “state vs state” into the advertising.
Sound familiar? It is – Nine’s first promos for 2013′s regular season of The Block – The Block Skyhigh – promoted the show as “state vs state” as well. In Skyhigh, there will be 5 couples competing instead of the usual four. Continue reading »
After The Block All Stars one might have been left wondering how Nine can go further with the drama they put into The Block – we have seen near-impossible weekly room reveal expectations with up to three rooms having to be completed at once in one week, unrealistic time frames to complete renovations and more drama and games between the couples than you can poke a stick at. After shameless promotion by Nine for House Husbands followed by everything else coming to Nine after Easter, the Blockheads bags have been packed and it’s auction time in Tasman St, Bondi.
The crowd first visit Phil and Amity’s and love it – let’s face it, it’s the best of the average bunch! The vivacious Phil is out and amongst it all while Amity does a final once over. Phil needs his own show – especially after his Gangnam Style and FAB new haircut. They have won 2 weeks (not counting the one that was stolen by Josh and Jenna via Dan and Dani) and earned more points than anyone else this season. Continue reading »
