Ten have launched a new promotion, asking viewers to take a “fresh look at Ten”. The network promises new content including Underground: The Julian Assange Story, new US series The New Normal and Ben and Kate as well as Vegas.

New seasons fast tracked to Ten in October include: Homeland, New Girl, The Good Wife, Glee, Modern Family, Merlin, Hawaii Five-O, NCIS, NCIS: LA and Law & Order: SVU.

Fast tracking international series to Ten has been suggested by many – including myself – as a way the network could bounce back out of its current less than favourable ratings lows.

Details of when some of these programs will air will be released on Sunday (subject to embargo), with others to follow over the next week or so.

Expect to see more of this campaign over coming weeks.

And – yes – give Ten a fresh look!

Every year, around late September, free to air TV fast track a select few of their US and international titles while others are left to air the following year when the Australian ratings season resumes after summer.

With Foxtel issuing a press release promoting Foxtel Express where a dozen or so US shows will air within days or even hours of their US air date and time, the question comes up as to what titles free to air will fast track. Continue reading »

The Good Wife is going to add some very good talent to its Season 4 ranks.

After casting ER alum Maura Tierney in the recurring role of Maddie, a self-made billionaire who started her own Internet company and is the doyenne of Chicago Democratic politics. As such, Eli eagerly pursues her money and endorsement for Peter’s campaign.

Broadway vet Kristin Chenoweth, will recur as a sharp political reporter who won’t stop until she’s got all of the details about the Florrick campaign… and marriage. Continue reading »

***Guest starring HOMELAND’s Morena Baccarin as Isobel Swift

The brilliant Colin Sweeney; played to creepy perfection by Dylan Baker, returns this week as his former employee (Baccarin’s character) accuses him of sexual harassment, demanding child support of the son that he has allegedly fathered. In true Sweeney fashion, you never quite know if he’s telling the truth under oath and what secret motives the businessman has up his sleeve in order to come out on top.

Also tonight, Alicia is having a bit of a residential crisis as her apartment is unexpectedly up for sale. Will she cave in and move back into the house that she shared fifteen happy years with her husband and children?

On Ten for the week of May 13-19, Masterchef moves into its second week, while the much anticipated Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms premieres on Tuesday night.

Who would’ve thought that Will would be taking his law suspension so well? Tonight, we meet his two sisters who decide it might be time for a trip to Chicago in order to cheer their brother up. That, and they’re determined to find him a girlfriend. Also, whilst working on a case where a film director is being sued by the family of a suicide victim, Alicia is thrilled when new protege Caitlin thrives under pressure in her first courtroom appearance. However, when Diane Lockhart takes notice of her talent will Alicia get jealous of her rising up the ranks too quickly?

9.30pm Wednesday April 25 on Ten

Last week saw Will Gardner found not-guilty of judicial bribery under the grand jury investigation spearheaded by Wendy Scott Carr. However, tonight’s episode opens with some not so good news; the bar association of Chicago are now pursuing Will’s law suspension for taking money from a clients account.

He’s given an ultimatum; take leave for six months or risk being disbarred for the rest of his career… Meanwhile, The Good Wife takes an international turn this week as Lockhart/Gardner represent the families of three protestors killed whilst peacefully demonstrating in Syria. Under investigation is the owner of a software company whose products are believed to be the reason why these protestors were captured and tortured.
