Undercover Boss

I have to say, that at our house, there is next to nothing that airs on Saturday nights on free to air that we record or watch on the night.

Ten have given a bit of a reprieve – finally moving away from movies repeated 5 times a year on the night to new content including Undercover Boss (US), The Graham Norton Show, and An Idiot Abroad – this week saw Karl hit Australia with another thing to do before you die – swim with the Dolphins. Meanwhile, anyone who missed the Shakespeare inspired special of Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation on Ten last Tuesday – and based on ratings there’d be a few – were able to see it again on ONE at 7.30pm.

We finally got around to watching the first two episodes of Suburgatory – now the only show we really sit down and watch on GO! Now hooked and can’t wait for the next episode tonight. There were some moments reminiscent of the Stepford Wives, and a stupid scene covering the idea of women with implants floating on water – but other than that, not a bad show at all.

Raiders of The Lost Ark on Seven, 7TWO had nearly three hours of Taggart – what’s with all the double episodes on 7TWO these days? 7mate was all blokey docos with Mighty Structures, Mega Breakdown, Super Factories, etc!

Nine – you can always count on Funniest Home Videos on Saturday nights at 6.30. Later in the night, The Wedding Singer – a movie sometimes on GO! played, while GO! itself had Looney Toons Back in Action, National Lampoon’s European Vacation, and another Alcatraz encore at 10.30pm – this time on time.

Accused on ABC1, replay of Adam Hills on ABC2, followed by old movies, Monster Moves and Rockwiz on SBS ONE.

What do you watch on Saturday nights on TV? Anything? Do you use Saturday nights as a way to catch up on what you haven’t had time to watch throughout the week? Tall us your thoughts!

I think whoever is sending out tweets about Ten programming for the night is reading printed guides from a week ago.

A tweet this morning from @channelten promoted what was on Ten tonight – including Undercover Boss USA, The Graham Norton Show and s2 of An Idiot Abroad.

This is not the first time a tweet from @channleten has not reflected the final programming for the night they are promoting.

Did they not check the amendments for Saturday night? Or even ANY EPG for Ten for the night?

Undercover Boss US did not air on Saturday night at 7.30 (Feb 11), it was a replay of Wednesday night’s Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation YTT special.

The first game of the AFL premiership season is on Thursday March 24 between Richmond and Carlton.

This year, the Thursday season opener is on Ten which will mean very different programming in each market on that night, with AFL states either falling behind or missing out on an episode of The Good Wife and Law & Order: SVU.

In Melbourne, the AFL on Thursday March 24 will be live from 7.30pm on Ten and ONE. As a result, The Biggest Loser will not be seen in Melbourne that night, instead there will be a double on Friday night – which in turn, pushes out Undercover Boss as well.

In Adelaide and Perth, the AFL airs from 8.30 on Ten and ONE, leaving the Biggest Loser in place as usual at 7.30.

In Sydney and Brisbane, the AFL does not air until 11pm on Ten, so Thursday night programming remains as normal until then. AFL fans in Sydney and Brisbane will be able to see the game on ONE from 7.30pm.

Ten also airs the Adelaide vs. Hawthorn game that plays on Saturday March 26 – this will be live on Ten and ONE in all markets except Sydney, where it is delayed on both Ten and ONE.
