The deciding day has come. Bearding competitors from around the world gather in Trondheim Norway for the 2011 World Beard and Moustache championships.

Phil Olsen and beard team USA are out to win gold for America, despite concerns about Phil’s relationship with the governing World Beard and Moustache Alliance.

The Austin Facial Hair Club plans to go independent and become recognised by the WBMA, in the hope of hosting a world championship in Texas.

Throughout it all, Jack Passion’s bearding season comes to a thrilling conclusion as his rivals bid to unseat him as world champion.

9:00pm – Tuesday, May 22 on ABC2

The American bearding season is at an end and there’s just one more contest before the world championships, the German National Beard and Moustache championships in Stuttgart.

The Germans are acknowledged as the beard champions of the world, a reputation that team USA is keen to take off them.

Looking to prove their international credentials, top US beardsmen Jack Passion and Aarne Bielefeldt head to the birthplace of bearding for what will be their biggest challenge yet.

Meanwhile, independent of Team USA, the Austin Facial Hair Club struggles to raise the funds they’ll need to get to Norway.

9:00pm – Tuesday, May 15 on ABC2

The US Beard Team is focused on getting to Norway to vie for the world title, but within its ranks, dissent and jealousies simmer.

After a close loss at the Austin Beard and Moustache competition, Jack Passion decides to sit out the remainder of the US beard competition circuit and focus on making a living from his beard.

Meanwhile Myk O’Connor from New York and the rest of the Beard team USA head to Detroit for the Motor City Championships. Myk thinks the thinner field will give him a chance for a win under his belt to help him make the team going to Norway.

Meanwhile the Austin Facial hair club send Miletus Callahan-Barile to Alaska, where he enters the Mr Fur Face competition and gathers information on how the Austin Club can be officially recognised.

9:05pm – Tuesday, May 8 on ABC2

Following his win at the West Coast Championships, Full Beard Natural World champion Jack Passion undertakes his greatest challenge yet – competing in a beard competition hosted by his rivals, the Texan bearded brigade from Austin.

The Austin Facial Hair Club has planned a wild night of fun, including the appearance of special guest judge Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.

National champion Arnie Bielefeldt looks to avenge his loss to Jack at the West Coast titles, while Brooklyn beardsman Myk O’Connor tries to build some momentum before the world championships in Norway.

9:00pm – Tuesday, May 1 on ABC2

The biggest beard circuit event since the Nationals, the West Coast Beard and Moustache Championships draw some of America’s top bearding talent to Portland Oregon.

As the tensions between the Austin Facial Hair Club and extroverted beard team USA star Jack Passion grow, the Texans look to prove they are a force to be reckoned with across the categories.

Meanwhile, in Brooklyn, Myk O’Connor faces a threat to his competitive career – a call from his future mother-in-law.

9:00pm – Tuesday, April 17 on ABC2

Bearded wonders across the USA travel the country to prepare for the World Beard Championship in Norway.

Beard Team USA aim to knock off the favourite for the title, Germany, but deep within the US camp, there is rivalry and jealousy. The bigbearded members from Austin, Texas are annoyed that current world champion, Jack Passion, from California, is hogging the limelight.

The team are gearing up for the national championships in Bend, Oregon. Some wondrous long and trailing facial growth presents and not without accompanying hazards, like getting caught in zippers or tangled around the horns of a pet goat.

Team Austin wonder where they will raise the money to get to Norway for the world title and Brooklyn candidate Myk O’Connor plans a special surprise for his long-time girlfriend and beard coach, Karolina.

9:05pm – Tuesday, April 24 on ABC2

With the US Nationals over, the American bearding season is in full swing, with championships in Ohio and New York City.

The competition is getting serious between contenders Jack Passion, who has returned to the bearding circuit and the newly-crowned national champ Aarne Bielefeldt, who is looking to cement his reputation.

Contestants are not judged only on their beard’s length, but also on its density and natural pattern.

The Texan beardsmen, the Austin Facial Hair Club, are struggling to raise money they’ll need to get to Norway for the world championships, so they make guest appearances at a Dickens festival in Galveston.

In Brooklyn, Myk O’Connor plans a special surprise for his long-time girlfriend and beard coach Karolina.
