Winners and Losers

Here in NSW it’s still school holidays and what a surprise my kids got while I was watching Winners and Losers – an F bomb at 2pm. Is this acceptable? School holidays or not, I don’t think that the bomb has a place on daytime TV, especially during a TV show that is female skewed.

Yes, I know it’s originally a night time show and rated M, but a bleep maybe? I am just curious what other people may think of this. If I choose to watch Southland in front of my kids – it’ my choice, as is the choice to only let them watch ABC 4 Kids. Continue reading »

With the demise of Days Of Our Lives, Channel Nine have decided to play House Husbands from the begining. Channel Seven have counteracted though and will put Winners And Losers on in the same 2pm time slot weekdays, saying goodbye to Dr Oz. Continue reading »

The new year is barely upon us yet we are being bombarded by countless sneak peeks and promos for new shows “coming soon” in 2013 – which will only ramp up as the year gets under way.

Believe me, the networks generally know when they plan to air most shows but constantly hit us with those vague words “coming soon” or “new in 2013″ as actual air dates are closely guarded secrets until within a few weeks prior to the scheduled date. Continue reading »
