So he left before his contract was up, so he switched codes and moved to france, so he thought about himself and HIS family first.....Is he really that much of a monster????Lets be honest.....Everybody seemed to become more annoyed and more anti SBW when he mentioned that he was a kiwi through and through and that he wanted to play for the All Blacks. Just because he wants to follow his dream and maybe the money, that doesnt make him stupid!!!!You all loved him and didnt think he was STUPID when he was playing in the NRL, you all loved him and didnt think he was STUPID when he got out there and spent time teaching an encouraging your kids, you all loved him and didnt think he was STUPID when he was playing in Australia and as soon as he wants to make something of himself in a new country playing a new sport, he gets dragged through the mud in the worst way possible.How FICKLE....How Australian. He has done alot for Rugby League an personally i wish he was still playing in the NRL but that is obviously not the case so how bout giving him some support, encouragement and well wishes for the new chapter in his life.....you owe him that much after all.

I personally think that anyone who is angry with Sonny is really angry with themselves, or their just jealous. If people are content with themselves and their own lives they would not have such disdain for others, in this case Sonny. As Mark Twain said "When you find yourself on the side of majority, it's time to pause and reflect"..
It is always harder to stand up to the masses which is why if i was in the audience tonight i would have told that first gut who fatty asked to comment, which he replied "Sonny is scum".. I would have told him "hey dude, there's no need to be so angry. Maccas is just down the road, now why don't you go and get yourself a happy meal" I'll bet if he had a cheeseburger in his hand he would have given sonny the thumbs up..
