As New South Wales-Queensland rivalry redlines to fever pitch with State of Origin game two just a week away, The Footy Show presents a bumper preview special tomorrow night at 9.30pm on Channel Nine.
Six days out from Origin 2 and with Queensland desperate for a win to take the series to a decider, The Footy Show’s panel of Origin greats Paul Vautin, Laurie Daley and Paul Harragon, along with Matthew Johns, will celebrate episode number 400 at Brisbane’s Suncorp Piazza at South Bank.
Celebrating their 400th episode in their 14th season – that’s more than 36,000 hours of footy, fun and frivolity – the boys will bring their unique brand of entertainment to the river city as they preview Wednesday’s big encounter.
Viewers will be brought up to date with all the latest Origin news and joined live by Cam Smith and Ashley Harrison to discuss the preparations of the Queensland team in this must-win clash.
For New South Wales supporters, assistant coach and halfback of the century Andrew Johns will take viewers inside the Blues’ camp and discuss the team’s game plan to secure the series with a win at The Cauldron.
Also on The Footy Show tomorrow night:
• Fallen young star Tim Smith gives his first interview since leaving Parramatta in an exclusive with Peter Sterling.
• The Galvitrons perform their new single When When We Were Kids.
• Comeback kid Wendell Sailor, ahead of his return to the NRL after a seven-year absence, talks about turning out for the St George Illawarra Dragons in their Friday Night Football match up against the Brisbane Broncos.
• Manly back rower Luke Williamson catches up with the Sea Eagles ahead of their Sunday Football clash against the top of the table Sydney Roosters.
Plus all The Footy Show regulars including Star Chamber, Lady Luck and a full preview of this weekend’s round 14 NRL action.
