Tonight Tom Williams hosts an episode of THE GREAT OUTDOORS which takes you to some of the world’s most varied islands.

Ernie Dingo continues his trip on The Great Nature Trail in Tasmania, finding hungry Tassie Devils, ‘The Nut’ in Stanley and venturing to what they call ‘the edge of the world’, before coming across the dismal swamp.

Andrew Daddo discovers Corsica in France and learns some history about its most famous citizen, Napoleon Bonaparte. Seaside cliffs and grottoes, jagged sun-baked mountains, deep gorges, white-sand beaches and pristine Mediterranean landscapes are just the beginning …

Jennifer Hawkins discovers three of Melbourne’s most eco-friendly islands, from the famed penguins and race track of Phillip Island, to the lesser known koala colony on French island and the historic homestead of Churchill Island.

Tom checks out Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii and sees all the amazing locations where some of the biggest movies and TV shows of all time were filmed. Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Lost, 50 First Dates, The Phantom, Mighty Joe Young, George of the Jungle, Pearl Harbour and the list goes on! Film sets are usually closed off to the public, but not here.

We also look at the latest and best ways to see Magnetic Island in QLD and check out Salt Spring Island in Canada, just a ferry ride away from Vancouver, to see why 12,000 people have taken up residence there.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS is presented by ERNIE DINGO, TOM WILLIAMS, ANDREW DADDO and JENNIFER HAWKINS.
