THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Season 16, Episode 16

Saturday July 7

6:30pm (G)

In tonight’s episode of THE GREAT OUTDOORS, Ernie visits an elephant sanctuary in the mountains of Thailand where the endangered species rely on volunteers for their survival; before checking in on the Asian elephants that have recently arrived at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo.

Plus, Andrew visits Australia’s most popular museum – the Australian War Memorial in Canberra; Tom takes a snap happy holiday with Tom Pull, a world renowned landscape photographer, who provides photographic workshops all over Australia; Shelley discovers all the secrets of the Swiss Alps – no skis required!; and Jen tackles a six day family bike holiday on Tasmania’s east coast.

Also, why July is the best time to visit Australia’s top end; Buckingham Palace and South Korea.

And Bruce Apps takes us on a tour of his charming little town, Brooms Head, on the far north coast of New South Wales.

THE GREAT OUTDOORS is presented by ERNIE DINGO, SHELLEY CRAFT, TOM WILLIAMS, ANDREW DADDO and JENNIFER HAWKINS.
