The New Inventors Invention #1 - Hint-On-Swing
Most golfers spend their golfing life on the eternal quest for the perfect swing. The Hint-On-Swing could take the average golfer a step closer to being a pro. This simple invention helps golfers perfect some of the trickiest skills to learn in the game. It can be used to steady the putter on the green, teach the correct wrist action when pitching, and the correct swing plane when driving. It also helps keep the club face square to the ball. (Invented by Gold Coast friends Lindsay Hinton and Stuart McPhie)
Invention #2- Lichen Keen to put some of the misery and bad fashion out of camping, Eliat from WA invented the Lichen, a durable three-in-one piece of canvas that can be transformed into a swag, tarpaulin or a jacket that wouldn't look out of place on city streets. The three-in-one design means less space is taken up on camping trips. The compactness would also be beneficial for tourists travelling in the city. A smart looking jacket that could turn into a picnic blanket could be quite nice when travelling. Let’s also not forget those poor uni students kipping on their friends’ sofas after a night out now have their own portable sleeping sack.
Invention #3 – SaltMaster Dryland salinity is the gradual loss of farm and grazing land to rising salt and is a massive problem, hard to comprehend and harder still to stop. A common remedy to soil salinity is sub-surface drainage. This involves pipes being laid in the ground to drain the salty water away. This however is an expensive process involving large specialised equipment. The SaltMaster is a compact and relatively inexpensive way to fight salinity by using sub-surface drainage. The SaltMaster attaches to the back of a tractor and features a four-in-one action. In one pass, the SaltMaster rips a trench, lays a slotted pipe, surrounds it with aggregate (loose particles of pebbles, gravel or cement etc) and covers the pipe with the aggregate. The result is a fast, effective, invisible drain with minimal disturbance to your land. (Inventor - George Binet (BIN-ay) from Cranbrook - Western Australia - 330km SE of Perth).
