Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker), the lovable pot-dealing soccer mum, is back and the marijuana business is booming when the second series of WEEDS begins Monday, October 1 at 10.30pm on Channel Nine.
This season Nancy is serious about selling weed, her bakery which sells pot-laced treats is profitable, yet it becomes increasingly difficult to protect her illegal secret, keep a low profile and perform the duties of a single mum with two young boys.
Nancy is the California girl who argues that "I'm not a dealer, I'm a mother who happens to distribute illegal products through a sham bakery" set up by her ethically questionable CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant).
The new series kicks off the morning after Nancy's night of steamy sex with Peter (Martin Donovan), whom she is shocked to learn is a Drug Enforcement Agent.
Later she evades questions from her family about her overnight absence. Her youngest son, Shane (Alexander Gould), finds his brother Silas (Hunter Parrish) and girlfriend Megan (Shoshannah Stern) having sex.
In an attempt to avoid being called up to the Army Reserve, Nancy's brother-in-law Andy (Justin Kirk) decides to attend rabbinical school, but must first seduce the hot admissions officer, Yael (Meital Dohan).
After a car accident caused by what she thinks is the city's negligence, Nancy's neighbour Celia (Elizabeth Perkins) decides to run against CPA Doug (Kevin Nealon) for his city council seat. When Celia insults her husband Dean (Andy Milder) by refusing his offer of campaign support, Dean and Doug decide to join forces against her.
Nancy and her supplier Conrad (Romany Malco) become business partners and strategise to on how to secure funds for the "grow house", where they plan to cultivate their own supply of hydroponic marijuana, but Conrad pulls out after Nancy reveals she's seeing a DEA agent. Later, Nancy's bakery catches fire but the insurance money she'll collect will now get her grow house up and running.
Welcome Nancy back to the neighbourhood and watch for a special guest appearance by pot-loving rap star SNOOP DOGG when series two of WEEDS begins Monday, October 1 at 10.30pm on Channel Nine.

So...series 2 of Weeds started .... and 3 episodes later seems to have been taken off air. Anyone know why ?
