It’s a mega-new Monday on Channel Nine when Eddie McGuire returns as host of Australia’s richest quiz show – Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Contestants will be playing for up to $5 million in a 90-minute live and interactive format starting at 7.00pm this Monday, October 22.

The new Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will deliver all the drama the quiz show is famous for live from the Channel Nine studios, and possibly create not just millionaires but MULTI millionaires.

Faced with a series of questions with multiple-choice answers, contestants have to correctly answer consecutive questions to experience the exhilaration of winning the massive $5 million prize pool.

To help contestants along the way there will be FOUR “lifelines” which they can call on to nudge a step closer to the multi-million dollar prize – Phone A Friend, 50/50, Ask the Audience, and a new one called Switch.

The Switch option comes into play when contestants have answered 10 questions correctly. From then on they have the option of switching a subsequent question and receiving a new one, but they can only use the Switch lifeline once.
