But Jarrod and Gloria decide to use it on the Spirit of the Forest to increase it’s production of scum. Only the Spirit’s true nature is to protect the forest (not to produce scum) so the formula results in the Spirit attacking anything threatening it’s home - including Jarrod and Gloria!

FOREVER - Series 1, Episode 9 Ned has been feeling down lately. It seems everyone in the family is smart except for him. He always feels like the odd man out. Things get worse when Jarrod steals his Grandfather’s watch and dumps it down an airhole to an old, giant worm tunnel. Sally offers to help Ned find it in the maze of caverns, but in the process they are trapped by a cave-in. During the long and arduous task to get them out, Mick tells them the story of how he met Ned and Danni’s mother.

When the Spirit of the Forest contracts it too, the town’s production of Wormgold is put into jeopardy.

What the Spirit needs is rest and recuperation, but Gloria - the plant’s marketing consultant - isn’t about to let anything stop her plans to increase output.

It’s up to Sally and Danni to spike her guns?

TICKER - Episode 6

The Bourkes go for a family outing to Grandpa’s home town of Yabbidandarup – famous for its delicious freshwater crayfish (yabbies).

Only they can’t help but notice that, for a town riding on the yabbie’s back – there’s a distinct lack of the critters.

While Ned and Grandpa set off in search of a remote dam where the yabbies used to live, Danni and Sally become a two-person Crustacean liberation organisation.

As the Bourke family drive away from Wormwood they meet Mick’s father whose old four wheel drive has broken down.

Grandpa is off on another of his “adventures”. This time he is looking for a rare frog, and decides to take Ned on a road trip to find it.

When Ned accidentally upsets Grandpa’s good luck charm - Basil the Spitting Rat – it imbues him with the power to spit blue goop that acts like acid.

Very handy when a gang of bikies come after Grandpa - but less handy when Ned accidentally disables Grandpa’s car and they are stranded in the outback with no water.

TRIPLE SCOOP ICE CREAM - Episode 4

Wormwood is a comic fantasy, a modern Grimm’s fairy tale complete with:

• A monster who lives in a forest pond – and has indigestion.

Ned eats some of Grandma Schnozz’s special triple scoop ice cream – hoping it will make him tough enough to beat Jarrod in the big race. Instead the ice cream first makes Ned a verbal copycat and then gives Jarrod telepathic power over him. Jarod forces Ned to steal Sally’s lucky “running nose”. Fortunately Ned snaps out of it in time to save Sally who has got stuck in the pond. But it’s the last straw for Uncle Ken and he goes ballistic. The Bourkes decide to leave Wormwood - and Uncle Ken – for good.
